Reviews
Play somewhere else.
5 and a half hours to play 16 holes. Had to walk off because it was taking so long. The few foursomes on the course were not playing fast and no rangers were anywhere to be found. Starters were friendly to the "regulars" and made you feel like if you do not have a season pass there you do not belong there. Also very pricey, can play other course that are semi private for same price and kept in much better conditions. If you are not a "regular" there you will not fit in and feel welcomed. There was also no drinking water on the course. Im not usually one to post anything online or give negative reviews but its not worth it to waste the money or an morning/afternoon at this facility.
good layout
well kept course. have to keep the ball straight. i will definitely play it again.
Golf Cart restrictions
Should be allowed to take cart to vehicle to load or unload clubs. Especially Seniors. This is only course in WNY that enforces this that I know of.
Deerwood
good conditions nice staff no delays. a nice round.
Nice Course Played the Fawn.
The deal thru Golfnow was spectacular. Course in decent shape.
Great Value
This was our first time at this course. Perfect weather conditions made our play enjoyable. Pace was just fine and we had s foursome. Greens were a little slower than some we've played, but we found out early and adapted. Glad this course if part of the golfnow site. Great value when you catch a hot deal.
We started on the Fawn and then played the Buck for the back nine. I'm an average female golfer who plays only on weekends. I usually consistedly shoot in the 90's and was pleased to end up with an 88 for a course I've never played before. We'll go back.
A Must Play
This golf course is one of the longer ones out there at just about 7000 yards, It was the first time in a long time that I had use more then 5-6 clubs to play a course ( I have a 8 hdycap ) has a real nice layout, band the pace of play was great 3 half hrs, also the food at the club house was great !!!
sunday golf
great course. Long but fairly wide. Greens tough to hold but were not fast. This would have been even better had they had my tee time written down. It appear as if the computer didn't have a record of my reservation, good thing I had my conformation number. They were very nice though and squeezed us in to within 10 min of my tee time. It all work out in the end, but it would have been better had they known we were coming.
Course was in excellent condition
Excellent facility. This 27 hole course has a starter and course marshalls to monitor play. Course was in excellent shape. Greens are a little slower than what I'm used to but they run true. I'm sure they ran at least a couple hundred people through today and we still played in about 4 hours despite playing with a couple who are pretty slow.
Ok course.
Typical town owned course. Maintained ok but not great. Greens were just ok. Staff was very nice.
good suburban course
The problem with all the town-run courses in the area is that if you are a non-member/resident, and you want to play 18 holes with a cart, you are going to be charged in the mid to upper 30s. Why would I pay that when I can pay that or less, and go to Glen Oak, Ivy Ridge, Harvest Hill, Terry Hills, etc. But with the golfnow discount, it was only $18. I'd pay that amount, up to about $25 max for this course. For that value, you do get a decent course that is in good shape...is challenging...has a nice mix of holes, and is certainly conveniently located in the northtowns. It only took 3.5 hours to play 18, which to me is how it should be...rounds taking over 4 hours is why golf isn't more populate to play. So overall, a good course. I'll go back again for sure at the golfnow rate, but never at their full rate.
Final point: during fall, you need the workers aggressively getting the leaves off the greens.
