Delta Golf Club

About
Formerly the site of a cedar swamp, Delta Golf Club was covered in blackberry bushes when it was being developed in 1971. The golf course was completed in a record 64 days and opened officially in 1975. Since then, the course has garnered a faithful following due to its player-friendly layout featuring wide-open fairways and immense, approachable greens. The club is also known for its friendly atmosphere and the affordable green fees. The masters-length layout has an interesting variety of holes with a good mix of par 3s, 4s and 5s. There are trees dotting the golf course, especially along the fairways, and strategically placed bunkers, both of which require accurate shot making. Putting on the fast greens also requires some skill. Delta Golf Club is made even more challenging by the water hazards that come into play throughout.

Delta Delta
Where are you Extremely difficult to find if you have not been there. Had GPS but was still tucked away. The course was a bit of a back and forth and back and forth course. It felt like I was playing the same holes again but the holes were different. Very confusing layout. Lot of signage to assist players to the next hole. Thank god! Even that wasn't a gimme. Enjoyed the course and the greens were fine. weather helped make it nice. Will play again but not quickly.
Very Disappointed
Have played this course several times. Pace of play gets slower each time we play. Took five hours to play 18 yesterday. Had to wait on each hole. 20 minutes late starting as well. Too many tee times crammed in. Hard to social distance at tee boxes. At times there was 3 foursomes waiting to tee off. 2 foursomes in front of us extremely slow. Marshal did not nothing. Bathrooms smell and were not cleaned well.
Like the course but should easily be able to complete in under 4 hrs.

Friendly staff, very helpful. Course is very nice
We will come back for sure!
Overpacked course on nice days
Course is a good, greens very hard and fast, but on nice days youll be waiting a good 5 minutes on each tee box waiting on the front nine especially, as this course packs as many people possible onto the course- which is very frustrating when jus trying to get a round of golf in.
tired
The course is only 5000 yards from the back tips, Tee boxes need help, fairways are groomed OK, rough is cut OK, bunkers are in good condition, nice soft sand, greens were punched and sanded, but played pretty good considering. The real issue is the pace of play, for such a short course they pile the people out, every five minutes, turning a round into a 4 hour and 45 minute waiting game. we played two days in a row and both days were over 4 1/2 hours rounds. ,,,, tiring
Great value and tricky greens
Never played much at Delta Golf Course however playing there today was a pleasant surprise. They have clear markings in all areas to keep people social distancing which was good to see.
Busy course but it moves along after a few holes.
Marcel in the pro shop is friendly and his experience shows.
Greens and tricky pin placements makes this course challenging even to the golf snobs out there who see an executive layout instead of playing the challenge that narrow fairways and fast greens provide.
Will be back to play Delta often this year.
Course condition
Course condition is excellent considering this is spring time in Vancouver, almost none soft spot, green is average with number of brown spots. Beer is excellent! I enjoy the day.
The course is a little muddy in winter time
I enjoy golf with excellent weather. Eventhough this course is muddy in winter time but good price and kindness make me happy.
Pace of play was terrible!
You get what you pay for, but the pace of play was terrible! A way to many people put out on the course. Marshall was driving around, but didn't seem to do anything about it.
Pleasant fall round with sun shining
First couple of holes had lots of leaves so hard to spot golf ball, but for this time of year, course was in decent condition, particularly the greens. Sun was shining so was a very good day out for some casual fall golf.
Usually an average round takes 3.75 hours.
Due to recent inclement weather, fairways were a little overgrown and wet but greens in good shape. Several fivesomes on the course caused a slow round since no course marshalls to be found.
