Prospect Lake Golf Course (formerly known as Gregarah Golf Course) is situated just outside of Victoria along the scenic shore of its namesake lake. The nine-hole course winds through coastal forest and wraps around the lake, all while enjoying a stunning mountain backdrop. The layout is comprised of five par 4s and four par 3s that are seemingly gentle but they should not be underestimated. The rolling, tree-lined fairways and small greens require both accuracy and a good strategy. Challenging water hazards also come into play on several holes at Prospect Lake Golf Course including the signature sixth, whose tee box is perched on a floating walkway. After a carry over 70 yards of water, golfers will be faced with a tricky green that not only slopes down on all sides but is also protected in front with a large sand bunker.

Fun
Fun in the sun!!!!!!!!with friends....................,,,,
First time
Good to play and meet a good couple to play together.
A Wonderful Afternoon!
The rate of play was good, other golfers were friendly and the weather couldn't have been better, so my wife and I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon.
Enjoyable/Challenging time at Prospect Lake
Friendly staff, greens in good condition, tee off on mats on several holes, had a good time. Keep it on the fairway is the key to your enjoyment, lots of hidden water in the woods, no chance for ball recovery.....enjoy
Great course! Beautiful views
Great course. Nice views. Little hilly but good for walkers.
day out
Has a few interesting holes 1st has a dog leg left just before the green making it difficult or impossible to drive all the way . 2nd is over a rock that takes away the view of the green on this short par 3 and has a mat to tee off on. 3rd straight good hole with hazards at the green.;4th your in the lake teeing of on a platform mat with tall trees on your right obstructing a clear shot to the green and requires a lay up to the left. 5th gives you a good opportunity for a long unobstructed tee shot off a mat.6th a very interesting hole that you take a board walk through a canopy of thick trees up the stairs to an elevated mat to tee off on over the lake inlet to an elevated green. 7th is a straight forward par 3 .; 8th a short par 3 from an elevation and 9th back to the club house with a good easy playing par 4.
Tough little course
Booked through Golf Now at a great price, but as there was also a tourney at the same time we waited on just about every hole. Otherwise it's a fun course.
Slow game
Pace was very slow only played. 9 holes took 2 hrs 20 minutes
excellent
Very challenging course. Rolling fairways, small greens and variable elevation. Makes u think before u hit. Not just another grip and rip it type 9 hole course.
Bad course, great food
The course was a disappointment because on all but the first hole I had to tee of an old mat, and on one of the holes that you can't see from the club house, the fairway looked more like a matted down rough. The restaurant was outstanding, I had a nine and dine, and was treated to some of the best salad, steak,,and Yorkshire pudding ever.
Great course for someone who enjoys the food more than the golf.
slow play
We had an 11:52 tee off and we quit on the 5th hole after 1.5 hours and three groups waiting on the 6th. when my partner went to the clubhouse to inform them the answer was k, that was it. I will not be back. I understand sometimes things back up but the response from the clubhouse was less than professional
Too bad
The course is shockingly wet for this time of year and considering all the good weather up to this time. Still too wet to properly cut fairways even, very poor greens as well
Prospect Lk needs some TLC
We played this course in May after it opened to members in March after winter closing and found it very, very wet. Fairways were dotted with white flowers making finding a ball even in the fairway a little difficult. Fresh cut grass was left in furrows and not raked. Paths and tee boxes, benches, etc were kept up but stairs leading to some tee placements were rickety and soft but not dangerous.
Overall the course plays well, nicely nestled around Prospect Lk near Victoria, BC. The course needs some upkeep and tender loving care it would seem.
We saw very few other golfers that day which made play very relaxed.no one in front and no one behind us the whole round.
Fairways are tight and confusing sometimes and its easy to play into the wrong one.
I'd like to play this course again when it dries up.

Great Time
As its early in the golf season the course is still being groomed. It was wet in many low lying areas of the fairways but all the greens were all in good shape. The male pro shop member was really super & overall it was a good experience and we all agreed we'll play here again.
Great day at Propect Lake!
This course is a favorite for many reasons. Unique holes, not justa back and forth layout typical of many courses. Greens were just seeded but in very good shape. A few mucky bits but not unusual this early in the season. Definitley not a deal breaker. Food is always very very good at PL. Coupled with beers on what arguably is the best golfers patio in Victoria (great fun watching players on the par 3 6th hit over the lake)! I always have fun at PL.
Pretty little course
Lovely rural/farm type setting on a lake.
Short holes, narrow fairways and small but nice greens
Quite soggy in places, but this is the history of this course, being on a lake with little or no drainage installed and a wet spring.
Would like to see more grass tees in play instead of mats
Very poorly maintained, lots of grass tees closed, poor fairways
You get what you pay for with this course. The groundskeeper (who rudely motioned for us to move out of the way while we were standing on the path waiting for the group ahead of us to clear the tee box) does a very poor job maintaining the course. We watched him mow half of a fairway and call it good. There are grass tees for each hole but 7 of them were closed despite looking to be in good shape. There was a large amount of mud on the course despite it being late May and not terribly rainy in the prior weeks. Will not be going back any time soon.
Great!
A very scenic mountainous views! The course was muddy on some of the fairways but the greens were well maintained and they were smaller then larger. If you lost your ball off fairway, long grass to find your ball! Great walking day! Favorite hole 6 over the lake, easier then it looks! A definite must to play in Victoria!
Its a very poor coarse i agree i will never be going back there complete waste of money
