Burford Golf Links

Over the years I have played Burford many times. For a bogey golfer it’s a good place to improve and enjoy your game.
The issue I have is that the course is not marshalled at all on.the weekends.
A group of 6 playing 4 groups ahead of us made the pace of play literally unbearable. At the turn a group of 8 made the decision to replay the front easy.
The staff are wonderful, the course just needs to be marshalled and golf etiquette enforced.

Great course. Fairways need some water. There are many dry areas making it hard to hit.

Best golf course I have ever been to nothing bad at all

We've played this course many times over the years and it has gone downhill vastly over the years. Staff in the pro shop and the starter were not friendly nor helpful. Carts were filthy and dust covered...drips from old drinks, candy wrapper in my cart...I wonder if they stopped cleaning them when the Covid mandate ended? Staff in the bar were very nice. No marshalls were seen. The tees were hard but grassy. Most fairways were grassy but rock hard...I had some of my longest drives ever! Hard to believe with all the rain we've had this summer that the fairways here are so dry and hard. They have been doing work on a couple of fairways for a couple years and they still have gravel and no grass...finally some seed thrown on the dirt. Greens were in good condition and played true. We won't be back soon. Give this course a couple more seasons to see if it comes back to enjoyable again. Sorry GolfNorth, this one's a fail.

I inadvertently booked the wrong day. When I attempted to cancel pre 24 hours, your website was problematic and I was unable to do so. I tried to respond to booking emails but was thrown back as undeliverable. I booked as a guest and Golf Now kept kicking me out when I tried to register. So yeah. I paid for a round I couldn't make.

Might have been the worst experience I've had on a golf course. Course was in terrible shape...tough to find grass to tee off from, several fairways were tore up and/or flooded. Pace of play atrocious...we had a walking group ahead of us with 6 players not playing anything close to ready golf and no Marshall to be found. No beverage cart available and went into proshop after 9 and there were 12 people inside to pay at once at the only spot to grab something at the turn and the staff member just went running outside of the pro shop after helping 2 people. Overall, terrible experience. Don't waste your time or money!

Absolute embarrassment .. we booked a day after some rail fall which wasn’t a substantial amount but that’s fine .. get to course on a beautiful sunny day to see a sign that course is closed for the day .. we got no phone call from the course or golf now to let us know these details .. pretty sad .. drove 45 mins to the course from home too … the worst case I’ve been a part of .. terrible customer service

Tee blocks in poor condition. The fairways are rock hard. Golf carts outdated and repeatedly wouldn't start. Very little selection in the pro shop. I hope you don't get thirsty because we only saw the refreshment cart once in the full 18 holes. If the cart can't make rounds faster than that then obviously you need more than one cart. Poor golf etiquette on this course. Repeatedly had golf balls driven up behind us from the group following us. There are much better courses in this price range. Poor value for the money. Will not return or recommend.

Avg course with small greens. Lots of unrepaired ball marks which was really disappointing. Had to play winter rules because of sparse grass but we enjoyed our day

Like most courses these days, the course was packed. Pace was ok, but slower than normal. Greens weren’t cut, but they were quite fast. Fairways were generally cleared of leaves. Tee boxes were in horrible condition. Having played several Golf North properties this year, the one constant is they are not well kept.

It was a great day for golf in November. The course was overall in good shape (except the tee blocks). Very little leaves on the course. Great way to end off the outdoor golf season.
