Worst experience.
The worst experience. The staff told us to separate into smaller groups after the 2nd hole, which we did. They then proceeded to harass us for 4 more holes. We split up as they asked but since half of our group was golfing for the first time, we were taking longer than average and they ignorantly assumed we were still disobeying their rule.
The 3 females only golfed 3 holes (we paid for 18) because we were harassed and constantly being rushed, so we felt like we couldn’t even learn how to golf. The course was as beautiful but would have been nice to be able to golf it without the 3 marshals following us around. I suggest you skip this course if you want to enjoy your time. Absolutely ridiculous. It was a complete waste of money and we will never go back. Learn to golf somewhere else.
Spang Cup
This course is way undervalued, the price is very affordable for a beautiful course. The front 9 is nice with some beautiful views but the back 9 is incredible. Trees were changing colour and some shots are from elevated tee box’s with amazing views. We set up a small tournament with 9 buddies and they were very accommodating getting us the tee times we needed for Friday and Saturday rounds.
Will definitely be back
Enjoyable course
There were rough patches on some of the fairways but overall very Weill maintained.
Beautiful view from the 17th tee boxes.
Beautiful holes
Pretty tough playing this course for the first time but my lasting memory will be how beautiful some the holes were. Great value for a very good golf course.
Huntsville Downs
A straight forward course with a lot of par 4's and 5's. The course is kept in nice condition. The staff are super friendly. It's good value for the course as well. It was my first time going but I would definitely return. It would a good walking course as we'll. the paths can get pretty steep at times. I would definitely recommend this course. -H
Good add-on to a vacation in Muskoka
Enjoyable. All kinds of golfers would enjoy this course.
rundown
Huntsville Downs is an older run down facility, Club house is old with no charm, looks like a small town family restaurant, badly needs updating. Change rooms smell like there are in an old arena after a weekend hockey tournament. Course is good, use to be much better, each time I go back its more run down with less people there, I wonder why! A company should not be aloud to post regular rate green fees on Golf Now. Are they to cheap to buy regular advertisement.
Great Day of Golf with a friend
Loved the day golfing at Huntsville Downs - very picturesque and challenging - in a good way.
Very friendly staff here.
Enjoyed our game but unfortunately got rained out after 9.
Staff willingly provided rain checks.
Service needs some help
No beverage cart. Shack mid course with drinks cash only- we didn't carry any cash and no attempt made to accommodate us.
Booked golf for 2 on GolfNow and we got automatically paired with another couple we didn't know one of which had never golfed before. Just wanted a round as a couple but had to wait for them and became a very long tedious day. Asked to hurry up when we checked in because men's night was starting and we would be in the way.
Fairways and greens in good shape but peripheral grounds long thick grass not cut very often.
Great day
Great course great value lovely views. Can't wait to get out again
Great Public Course
This course is nice layout with the greens in excellent condition. The back 9 are definitly more to the standards of other Muskoka high end courses.
The value is definetly the consideration as other Resort courses in the area can be pricey. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will play there again.

Beautiful course for fall golf.
The course is in excellent shape. With the fall colours it is worth the price to walk around it and enjoy the view. The course is not overly long but is certainly challenging enough. The pace of play is always good and marshals make sure that things keep moving. Comparing it to other nearby courses, Huntsville Downs presents a good challenge with just as spectacular views at a much more reasonable price.
Fantastic fall colours
I have played here many times and always feel that i get a great deal. This time the starter permitted 5 players in a a group. This backed up the 2 nd nine. Greens are in excellent condition. There are no flat lies as the course is 1925 vintage. Beautiful fairways
course design takes full advantage of Muskoka scenery
A fair test of golf with some holes you will remember.
Great day with my son. This course is very good and you can see wildlife(deer). It is well laidout.
People walking really hold up play. When a group are playing they should be required to all have carts.
Best little gem around Huntsville...
Great value for money...excellent conditions and good variety of holes and terrain. Might suggest extending Whites to 6,000+ to discourage high handicappers from choosing Blues' 6,500 instead of the current Whites at 5800 (a bit short).
Short but challenging . Lots of great holes and great views
Great bang for your buck, a well maintained and challenging course.
Not very long from the whites, but challenging for sure!
Lots of elevation changes, as is expected in the Muskoka area. Found the greens had a few bare spots, other than that in good shape. The bunkers were playable too, which I find rare on low to mid priced courses.
