A Well Maintained and Managed Track
This course is in excellent condition from tee to green. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The facilites are new and the carts are in good condition. As the name implies, water comes into play on several holes. We will be back.
Great Course
This course has an interesting layout that is challenging without being to the point of frustration. There is water and fescue on several of the holes. The tee boxes were somewhat torn up but I have found this is typical this late in the season. The fairways, greens and bunkers were in good condition. This is my second time playing this course and I will return.
Great course, combination parkland, links style
excellent greens, fairways etc, well worth playing
sand traps and lots
5 -6-7 holes . Three of the toughest holes in Essex county. Very awesome. Very tough greens as well. Tough to one putt
greens are very fast even for this time of year-fall
played in less than four hours - greens were still very fast even in the fall - only the fairways have been aerated so far - great place to play
nice design
it was a great day to golf on the course i would go back and golf these course again
This course keeps you coming back for more
A good mix of long and short holes with plenty of hazards to challenge both novice and experienced golfers. Hit one bad shot and two or three are sure to follow. Hole number 7 is every player's nightmare here - a par 5 hole with a lake cutting into the fairway at intervals on the right, the full distance of the hole (and of course everything sloping inevitably towards the lake), a series of bunkers at strategic points, and hills of deep fescue on the left. Not to mention a green with a slope that completes the torment. Par this hole and you'll go home happy.
Staff feels like family. Maintenance is constant.
On my wish list is a clubhouse and a menu which befits the quality of the course.
