Good value - needs TLC
I’ve played course over the years and each year conditioning seems to deteriorate. Tee boxes were very poor. Greens in good shape though. Wanted to play a replay round but front desk staff didn’t seem to be too concerned trying to work us into their schedule. Not sure I will return.
True gem
Great practice range. After the warm up we were treated to a spectacular golf course! Wildlife abounds— deer, wild turkeys and as an added bonus, fighter jets flying overhead! It was a great day on the links!!
Pace
The pace of play was ridiculously slow yet no Marshall was to be seen...well until I went 10 feet off the cart path.....c'mon guys... keep the golfers with no golf courtesy in line... thanks
Good Value
Course was in great shape!
Water & sand on most holes.
Somewhat overated.
Heard a lot about FCN. Finally booked it. Pro shop was somewhat indifferent. When asked about the guest Wi-Fi got shut down big time.
Never even played
Booked a 18 hole 5:08 tee time through the app and got there to find out they call the carts in at 7:15 when it gets dark around 8pm. I was offered a 9 hole tee time for 3 dollars less than I agreed to pay to play 18.
I asked why a 18 hole tee time would be offered if they are only going to give me 2 hours to play. Pro shop manager didn’t care to provide a answer.
Give your money to someone else.
Fall Golf
Sept is the perfect time to play this coarse. they keep it in great shape
Always a nice round
FCN is a staple for premier public golf in the London area. They are still very challenged by the slow pace of play. They need to have a course marshal to let slow players know they should move up to shorter tees, or let others play through. You should never have 3 groups backed up on a hole. Never. The course is in great shape for the most part. Always a great challenge and set up.
Ok I guess
Wish I’d played this course earlier in the season. Course conditions have slipped since my last visit but still a fun place to play. Great cart GPS screens.
FCN is a beautiful, well maintained course.
I have played here only a few times and the setting and conditions have impressed every time.
Unfortunately, my party has been stuck behind some exceptionally slow players each time. I don't blame the course, just bad luck.
Public course with a private course feel
This golf course is a treat to play. Conditions were perfect and the golf course was in excellent condition.
Best public course in the area
FANTASTIC!! This course is by far the best public course in the area. The price to play is excellent. The fairways are immaculate. The greens are fantastic, rolling true and fast. Your ball sticks when it hits the green, so you can do a lot of pin seeking. Bunkers are so so, we always lift rake and place.
Best Value!
Forest City National continues to impress. The friendly and professional staff do a great job at getting you ready for your round. GPS carts to help dial in your approach shots. Forest City National continues to be one of the best courses to test your skills. Well kept and picturesque, with wildlife throughout the course ( our group came across a small family of deer), I believe FCN is one of the best places to play in the city. At 45 dollars after 3pm, there is not a better deal around!
