Beautiful course and friendly staff
This is my favour public course in T.O. A bit difficult for intermediate players but all not overly. What a beautiful course all season round! Love it.
Great inner city option
For a course that is within the city and therefore relatively pressed for space you can’t beat Don Valley. I love the front 9, some great holes, in particular 2 through 8 but I like them all. Back 9 is shorter, much tighter and very hilly which probably means less fun for the average weekend player. Pace of play can sometimes be an issue as with all municipal courses but one should expect this. Price is fair and the condition of the course is great every time I play. It’s close to home so I play majority of my golf here and think it’s a local gem.
Nice course, but 2 holes reduced to par 3's
The course was in good condition and for the price, it was great value. Unfortunately, they've had to do some construction on holes 11 and 12, and have reduced the par 4 and 5, respectively, into 2 par 3's. Otherwise, the course played moderately tough, as the front nine has some particularly narrow and long holes, while the back is a lot easier.
Nice Course!
This course is nice and close to the city. It's really hard to get a tee time though as a lot of people book it but every time I've played it didn't look like it was at capacity so not sure what happened. Pace of play was ok but I really enjoy the challenges the course presents. Staff was friendly.
