Not a bad course
A very quick 18 hole course. Well worth the money if you book later times. If you’re trying to book prime time it is way too expensive for what it is. You can go to a way better course for less or the same money. We played a 6pm tee time and it was only $30 which isn’t bad. You try prime time you are paying double that at least for a par 62.
Decent track
Overall, a decent track. Greens weren’t great, but then again first round of the season (opening day). Staff were super friendly. Great experience overall, even with all that is going on in the world right now (coronavirus pandemic) they did a good job with setup and keeping people distanced.
Warm day in october with a steady wind
Course in very good shape; greens were. Very firm.
Doing some work here to establish cart paths which I am not keen on. This s a short well laid out track with no need for carts
Played awful. Fescue was very unforgiving today!
Love this course
I have been here twice and its great!! Will definitely keep going, prices are great, very friendly service and beautiful landscape.
I enjoyed a great round of golf with Brian, who plays the course regularly. He was helpful with suggestions of how each hike might be approached. Our round took about 3 hours.
A great afternoon.
Great atmosphere
This is a great place for seasoned players or beginners some holes are challenging with water tight fairways. I have never been turned away from playing here as sometimes i just show up without booking a tee time the staff always fits me in. As for the staff you wont find better at an executive course anywhere from the moment you walk into the club house you are treated like a member top notch. On average you can walk the course in just over 2.30 hours great pace of play.
Mystic Ridge
Well the rain came as threatened as I hit my tee shot on the par 3 second. After a chip and one putt for par I took refuge in the nearby porta potty! After 10 minutes it stopped and stayed dry though the winds were gusting.
In spite of fighting a major left hook all day and having to look for several balls I played 18 in 2 hours and forty minutes; rain delay included cause there was no one in front of me. Gotta love good pace of play
Executive golf
Great price on Golf now. Lots of challenging par threes from the back tees. Will play again and try their regulation 9 also!
Great Practice Course
This is a fun course to practice your short game. Played the course in 3 hours. Perfect for a quick get away. Price is reasonable, greens and fairways were decent. Its a hidden gem close to the QEW in Oakville.
Mystic Ridge
Third round here in past month, Course has dried out a bit, was very soft recently which is understood given the rain this year. Weather was perfect today, 25 degrees with a very slight breeze.
Rough is still very thick and gnarly; greens are in very good condition,
Downside to the day was pace of play. Foursome went out 15-20 minutes before me and a couple in between on a cart ( which is unnecessary on this course) I played alone.
You can see a lot of the holes from most points and the course was wide open in front of the foursome. The couple played from the back tees, which isn';t a big deal here, but they didn't anything past 150 yards. Both engaged in 4-5 practice swings per stroke and he read every putt on his belly a la Villegas. Didn't see him drain any.
They remained 1/2 to 1 hole behind the slow foursome. What could have taken me 2 1/2 hours took nearly 4, with a minimum 5 minute wait on every tee.
i am not a pro, and hit my share of bad shots and look for a lost ball (if time permits) but i cannot understand why people take so long to play. Find your ball, hit it and walk.If you have a cart, park it on the right side of the green and maybe take an extra club and ball with you, should your partner be parked on opposite side of the fairway.
Having a marshall drive by every couple hours may help
MYSTIC RIDGE
i have played this course more than any other course im my time. One would think i would have it down by now.
Not long, lots of par 3's Greens vary a bit from the older holes to the newer part of the 18 hole layout; holes 3-12 are newer and greens have more undulation to them.
The rough was positively nasty today, very thick and long, lost a few balls and when i found them lost some strokes trying to hack out. Hit the fairways and greens and is a pretty straightforward course.
i like it due to the layout, which makes for a nice comfortable walk and if not busy can be played in about 3 hours easily.
great course on a deal and for a quick round in the afternoon through the week. Weekends are busy here and play is very slow typically then.
They have a 9 hole track with more challenging length
