Early season
I won’t knock the conditions. It is March. 70 degrees and windy. But the course wasn’t super wet. The greens are healing from last years late punching. This course has a fantastic layout for a public course. I played by myself and I played on a Wednesday at 10:30am. I didn’t run into anyone until the last couple holes. I hear that’s unusual. But this course is prolly awesome looking in the summer. I paid $40 and it was well worth it.
Amazing course
Played pretty well, the course is in really good shape and it's only the start of the season.
Staff was amazing.
course and facility is run down and not well maintained
my impression is the course is scheduled to tight which causes make up and players hitting and forcing people ahead .
no way of knowing when golfers are ahead of you . A real problem on blind holes since there is no bell to ring to inform golfers "clear"
Good Shape. Decent Layout. Slow!
Boulder has so much potential. The course is a decent layout and in pretty good condition. Other than being really wet after any rain. And after yesterday's round, really soggy in a few places even after no rain for over a week. I was hoping the round would be faster than previous rounds out here. One thing you'll always hear, "Be ready for a 6 hour round." 5 hours and 40 minutes later, I made my last putt on 18. Painfully slow, again. The layout tries too hard to be unique. Not sure I could pick a single hole on the course that would make any 'Top Holes In Northeast Ohio' list I could make. 17 could be good, but the tee box was a swamp, and we waited 10 minutes to be able to tee off. I try to give this course a chance about once every 2 years and I just have to keep wondering... Why? Why do I keep thinking it will be different?
Good course, bad management
5.5 hour round, need to spread tee times out more. We waited on every single tee box for minimum 10 minutes while they stuck a twosome in between us and a foursome ahead of us. Bad experience overall due to greed.
Best Public course you will ever play
Everything about this course is top teir. Staff is great, awesome clubhouse, and beautiful course! All around amazing course.
Really impressed
I was really impressed with this course. I’ve heard from several people that this was a course that I have to get to. After playing it I was blown away and will certainly be coming back.
AWSOME Course.
Great course, I was surprised it was public as I played it. Nice layout and very well maintained. I wish I lived closer so I could come back more often.
Beautiful, but Slow
We had a good lunch at the restaurant before we hit some range balls and teed off. There must of been some open times in front of us because we didn't wait on a shot until our tenth hole. From then on it was really slow. Then the rains came on our thirteenth hole and we packed it in. The course is really pretty. It will be beautiful once the leaves start to turn. Despite the hilly terrain, there were a lot of wet spots even before the rains. It gets a lot of play and the players don't seem to know much about raking bunkers or fixing ball marks. They warn you on the scorecard to expect a five hour round because it is easy to lose balls and have them run into places you would rather not play from.
Excellent course -well maintained
Only played the course 3x but always enjoyed playing it. Well maintained course with great staff.
Disappointed in how chewed up the greens were- it seemed like no groups were repairing ball marks
