Well worth the 30 minute drive from downtown Ottawa
Mont Cascades is truly only 30 minutes from downtown Ottawa, and well worth the drive. You will be greeted by kind and professional staff who are always willing to do a little more to make your round enjoyable.
The course, as another reviewer pointed out, is not that long, but you still need to hit some good tee shots. If you are under a 20 handicap, I suggest playing from the blues. The course remains a fair challenge with very good greens (always remember where the river is relative to your putts). You'll also find it to be in very good shape even at the beginning of the year.
If you are thinking of planning events, Cascades is a great location to do so, with a great view of the river and a great outdoor patio. Mr. Osborn and his staff have made our events memorable.
Recomended course
I've played at Mont Cascades for the past 6 years every Wednesday with my buddies and it's a great course for beginners and low handicappers. It has alot of challenging holes and a few that are forgiving if you make a bad shot.I would recommend trying the course if you've never played as it has a great lay-out and it's only 30 minutes drive from Ottawa.
