Good golf course
Good straight forward golf course. Pretty forgiving and very walkable. Played in mid November but was still in great shape. I bet it is in really good shape in the Summer. Nice clubhouse and no houses on the course. Nice quiet setting. Didn't use the range but it looked good. Great value for sure.
Great day of golf
Course was in great shape. Lush fairways, very quick greens with subtle breaks. A couple of shorter par 4's that you can take a shot at to drive. One par 4 on front what is a big carry over water to a blind fairway- kind of quirky.
Would play again if in the area.
A nice surprise
Another great day in our golf adventure of the Rockies. Weather was great,. The course was kinda away from town and we teed off right after a scrambles, so the pace was good.
Overall, an average layout and I suggest having a few extra golf balls, just in case you spray it around off the tee as the waste areas pretty tall.
I had a career low round, so I liked the course, but if I was in the area, would certainly play it again.
A few of holes were interesting, but that is the challenge of this game.
My home course
I've been playing here since 2006 and find it the most enjoyable of the Billings courses. I live next to Lake Hills but they can have that course.
Eagle Rock is still "developing" in my opinion. New trees are constantly being planted and the concession building seems like it has been "in progress" since '07 with the concrete slab just sitting there year after year. Once these trees grow in it will be a much bigger challenge. Right now you can bomb it and not get into too much trouble.
The course does play long and stretches out nicely. The course is always in great shape with just the rough being patchy in some areas still. They have been adding more landing areas just off the fairway which helps the player who sprays it around.
Ask about the 20 & 2 card which is a great savings if you plan to play locally all summer.

I've played this course several times. It's a nice links design. The greens and fairways are well maintained. Good twilight rates!
