About

Greens in terrible shape
I played this course many times and I’ve never seen the greens in this bad of shape. Until something changes, I will not be playing it again.
Greens and clubhouse under repair
The clubhouse has been closed for several weeks now due to flood, the starter is outside in a tent. The greens are in horrible shape right now, little grass, and lots of dirt. Worse I've ever seen at this house. The pace of play was great the 1st nine. Than we caught up to a group of 5 very slow player, no marshall to be seen to speed them up. I don't agree with letting groups that large if they are slow.
Course is overall in good shape. The greens need work, and the players need to learn how to repair their ball marks on the greens. Overall it’s a nice place to play and I plan on playing again.
Avoid this course
Greens are in terrible condition and repairs are needed all over the place. Pace was very slow and there was no marshal. Will not come back!!!
La quinta Greens are not in good shape
The course overall conditions is great. The rough and fairways are solid, same with the bunkers. However, the greens have little-to-no grass making it incredibly difficult to make putts at almost any length.
Not worth the rates
Quail valley La Quinta is definitely not worth the asking price. Staff was friendly. Pro shop still closed from Hurricane damage in July while other courses that had direct hits from said hurricane are completely open. Leads one to believe the owner/operators are just not spending the money to fix the clubhouse. Course tees and fairways are fair enough but the greens are atrocious. Bald muddy spots on all but maybe 2 greens. Pace of play was very bad. Would not recommend to spend any money here until this course is better maintained.
I expected better.
The greens are in horrible condition dirt patches everywhere. I know the course is planning to remodel the course, but the price should reflect the condition. Pace of play was also terrible. One group was holding up the whole course. Marshall should have made them let people play through.
Terrible Condition
I have played this course many times of the past three years. It seems to get worse with time. It could be a decent course for beginners if it wasn’t so expensive. It’s wide open for the most part, leaving the opportunity to find your ball but there is just no reason they should charge over $40. The second to worst part after the price is the greens. Horrible condition and have been for over two years. The staff is rude. I’ve witness them start altercations with people over the smallest inconvenience to their voluntary positions. The El Dorado course is nice but could use some care. Sharptown literally charges half the price with a good layout.
Course to be shut down
Apparently they will be redoing it starting mid December. They e let the greens go and they were barely playable.
Putting green
This course is fun to play but putting green has been bad condition. Hopefully it get better soon.
Overall nice cou
The course was good on the fairways and first cut. The greens were basically a mixture of some grass and bare spots of dirt
Greens in rough shape
Everything except the greens was great. Starter said it would get better after #1 but it wasn’t until 1” or 11 where we had one clean green without dead spots and sand.
Greens are pointless
Course was in okay condition other than the greens. Lots of dirt spots and just terrible condition. Rumor is they are closing this course for a year to totally redo it, but in meantime for $45 on a hot rate it wasnt worth that much at all.
Poor course condition
This used to be such a nice course, seem they’re focusing on Eldo and letting go LQ? The greens were horrendous. They need to invest some mone at the rates they’re charging!! Not sure if Beryl shut their support staff down since the Grill and pro shop is closed
Greens horrible and pace of play
We booked this round online for a decent rate on golf now. The greens were horrible. There were not any greens that were not dead, holes, bumps and terrible roll. The layout of the course is challenging and enjoyable but the price is not worth the green quality. On top of that they were not regulating the flow as singles were all around and we waited to hit just about every shot. I will not be back here unless the things are fixed properly
