Alternated starting hole an issue
I played this course for the second time, on both occasions I have started on the 1st, completing the front nine in about 1 hour 20 minutes, only to come across groups starting on the 10th. By the time these groups had cleared 20 minutes had passed and the back nine took me just over 2 hours. This is, to me, an issue which needs resolving. As for the course, it was in good condition, with a good variety of holes, some deceptively difficult. The greens are in excellent condition and when dry, some of the fastest I have played.
I would play again, but feel the alternated starting tees are a real problem
Top course
Apart from the time of teeing off this is great course, good distance challenges, great greens and neatly set out.
The 9.40 spot is awkward for a four ball as cutting in on a lot of four ball games that have started on the 10th earlier and they are warmed up and in there stride.would be better to start from the 10 the as a four ball at 9.40
Superb condition
Course in great condition, greens playing true fairways very good
Great Kent course
Three of us played this course on Sun 7.05.17, the condition of greens and fairways were outstandingly good, best ive played in Kent all year.
Staff were exceptionally helpful, totally would recommend this course anytime at all
Nice course. Friendly staff.
Played this course on a warm summer day, the course was in great condition and greens were running very well. A tight parkland course with some good holes. The motorway is quite close that you hear traffic all the way round.
Ground staff were out and busy but allowed you through without any fuss.
Nice bar and veranda to sit after the round
Well looked after
Course in really good condition, always enjoy it here , only downside is the staggered starts on front or back 9 , played back nine first , then qued behind 3 sets on first ☹️
Golf in December
Given the time of year we played, the course was in pretty good condition, albeit there were about 5 temporary greens. The pace of play for the first nine holes was slow and there was a 'queue' at the 10th tee, but once that cleared we sailed found the back nine.
First time played course.
Noise from motorway on every hole. Course in good condition.
Ashford
This is a parkland course with a lot of good holes and kept in good condition. Downside was that it's a bit criss cross so take care as balls can come from anywhere. The other downside is a large part of the course is next to the M20 and it's pretty noisy and that was in dry conditions and the trees had their leaves on. I suspect it would be very noisy in wet conditions especially in the winter months. Having said all that it's worth a visit at the golfnow rate but only has one teetime at 9.40 am.
