Impossible to play.
Use to be a member here many years ago things have changed but not so to speak. Better facilities off the course ie bar, changing rooms etc, but the course itself is just unplayable it's like trying to play links golf on a parkland course, appreciate we have had a dry winter but it's turning into a dust bowl already the greens are just like concrete you can't feel your way around the course nor putt on the greens just not an enjoyable experience, play else where I would suggest as things are only going to get worst as the season goes on.
Well tended
The drive through the big electric gates and the uneven car park might have you reassessing your choices. But don’t be fooled the course is lovely. Well maintained course, tee boxes were in good nick and the fairways and greens were spot on. Well done Aylesbury Vale.
Well worth a visit
Entry to the course was via the largest security gate I have come across so far! Friendly staff in the pro shop gave me advice on course conditions and layout. It’s a fairly long course but has wide inviting fairways. Greens were a little firm due to the cold weather, but appeared to be in good order. Members were friendly and allowed me to play through with little delay. Overall a positive experience. Didn’t venture into the clubhouse so can’t comment on the facilities.

Recommended
Very enjoyable course where you get to navigate yourself round the varied holes. A decent par 5 gets you underway and sets you off on what is a well laid out track that will catch out poor shots but reward strategic and good play. Some greens are large and accessible and some small, listening to the Pro’s tips on each holes’ map sat next to the tee is critical.
I found the greens to be true and sensibly paced and the pace of play was good on the day. Decent practice facilities and a busy clubhouse add to the package.
Great value
Course in excellent condition. Greens playing faster than usual with the recent dry spell. Always fun to play and thoroughly recommend anyone give this course a try.
Weather
Played 10 holes when thunder and lightning curtailed our round as the hooter went off and we got absolutely drenched walking back to the clubhouse !
Good value
Friendly welcome on arrival. Nice layout with greens in excellent condition despite the summer heat.
