Greens are literally championship standard
Welcoming Club
A lovely experience as usual. A great welcome & service and all 3 loops of 9 are a delight to play. A very good golf layout, with tees, fairways and greens in good or very good condition. At under £35 this is good value. Practice facilities are excellent too.
Tuesday 25th March
Course in exellent condition
Unfortunately…poor conditions
Unfortunately had my least enjoyable round at Farleigh yesterday. It would have been nice to know the current course conditions before turning up to play…so that is a lesson learned.
Yellow course closed and hole 3 out of service on Blue course too….not openly discussed when I booked in which was disappointing too. For the price on GolfNow..am not sure we got much value, especially with having to use the red tees.
Shame as normally enjoy a good round here with conditions usually excellent…
Lovely course , appalling conditions
As title says .
I have no doubt most courses wouldn’t be in half the condition this was at the time of year. Lovely greens, good fairways with some really sticky patches but it is winter and the weather has been awful.
Looking forward to going back when it’s drier. Nice and open aswell.
Amazing winter golf
Probably the best course in the around Surrey and south London in the winter. It drains so well and after a wet week is still in great condition. Each course (we played red and yellow) has challenging and well designed holes that fit in with landscape and hills. We went out early and basically had the course to ourselves for the front 9 but pace of play wasn’t an issue when it was a little busier either. It’s also great value when compared to others nearby and plays a lot better. Food was also good and clubhouse was full and busy but still space to eat post round. Only small thing was didn’t know about winter wheels for trolleys but is an option to hire so isn’t major drama. Will be back and recommending to my golf mates!!
Shocking weather for golf
With the recent downpours and generally rough weather we weren’t expecting much, however the course was in amazing condition, no temporary tee boxes and perfect greens. The fog called an early end to our round but the club gave us a voucher to come back, which we’ll look forward to, can’t wait to see the course in the sunshine. The clubhouse is welcoming, accommodating and inclusive, great venue excited to get back.
Great course. Three 9 hole so options for variety. Fairways and green in great condition for a November. Great practice facilities.
Great course conditions in UK's challenging Fall months
We played the Red and Blue course (a.k.a. purple course) on a dry cold day, after 24h of rainfall the day before. The course drained really well and was excellent to play.
There's a halfway house and all amenities that you wish for.
Only two issues I had, and that's rather personal of course; my friend and I got paired up with another two players, playing 4 ball. I find that for 65 pounds per person it should be possible to play without being paired up. Also, course of play on the red course was very slow, with 4 new players starting the course every 7-8min. We were supposed to play the yellow course as back nine, but as traffic was too much the staff offered us to change to the blue course to have free play ahead of us. And the second issue being that when booking on Golf Now, it's unclear which 9-hole combination the booking includes, and it remains a secret until arriving on site.
Again, everything else was lovely, I would definitely recommend the course to a friend and also hope to come back at some point.
Slightly underwhelming
I was excited to play this course having heard so much positive reviews from friends.
It’s certainly a nice course however I was a little put off by the x3 9 holes format. At times this can feel a bit of a maze. There is also the issue of people jumping in front when transitioning from 9th hole to 1st hole.
The course itself is challenging, with rough left to grow to knee length if you find yourself off the fairway then you’re in a lot of trouble.
Many of the greens on blue course appeared to have been inhabited by insects which left clubs, balls & shoes filthy.
The facilities are fantastic and the club has an air of grandeur. However it does not possesses the welcoming and warm feel I like to associate with a club house.
I’m sure many will love this course but I can’t see me returning anytime soon.
Course in great condition
Fair and fun course to play. Lots of variety of hole types and in really good condition. Greens were fantastically smooth. Stay out of the rough!
Great layout
First time playing here. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Course is just great fun to play
Booking Not good enough
We had a 10:06 tee off. When we arrived there was a queue of 4 groups on the Blue route.. I noticed a society sheet on the desk with 20 names. We went to check in only to be told they couldn’t find our booking. After asking another colleague he said he’d put it through for 10:18. Not very happy, but at least we are playing. I ask which tees are we off , to which he replies blue and then yellow. The queue for blue is still 4 groups deep and the yellows has two groups waiting, so we went to check out the reds.
There was a single player who was playing his second shot, so we went off them. When we got to the 3rd where the land opens up , we could see there was only one other group up to the 7th playing this course. We had a lovely nine holes in 90 minutes then onto the slow second 9 of the yellows 150 minutes.
The course was in a very good condition, other than fairway grass was a little too long , shame the organisation let it down.
