Varied course in great condition
The course comes with a map which is much needed! Slightly confusing layout for the initiated but really enjoyable. Played in dry conditions with good run. Greens excellent and lots of work being done on the upkeep.
Bit soggy
Nice course well laid out. Quite short only one par 5. Greens are driveable for long hitters. Fairways were muddy in places and greens were very soggy underfoot but they played ok. Staff are great and welcoming. Definitely one for the summer but still worth a go if your passing
Lovely little course in great condition !
I've played Huntswood a number of times over the years and really enjoy it.
Most holes are not too onerous (long par 4 9th and long par 3 13th notwithstanding !), so driver not always required. Despite being mid-February, the course was in great condition, although it does get a lot of traffic. A couple of holes were off winter mats, but no worries.
There is a small range and putting/chipping green. The clubhouse and bar is always inviting.
Badly kept and frantic layout
This course leaves a lot to be desired. It is very poorly keep, moos and patches of mud throughout the fairways, a real lack of grass. Greens are full of divets and pitch marks. I appreciate the weather has been poor but it look like the course had been abandoned.
Great little course
The course was in great condition for the time of year. Well drained fairways and greens. Great friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere
Great Course
Absolutely stunning course quite a challenge staying in play but great fun. Drainage was amazing not wet at all.
Course let down by customer service
No one ever answers the phone, was in pro shop today and heard ringing for ages and ages, every time rang back just ignored.
Green keeps do a great job and course fun and easy to play yet staff treat the paying public as if they are rats.
Members are cab drivers thinking they are members of Sunningdale.
Great if you just turn up and play off the hook
Great round at Huntswood
Played a 3 ball at Huntwood, at 2pm in a Saturday. Play was a good pace considering the day. The course was in good condition, the fairways are a little parched due to the lack of rain recently, but all fully playable. The greens were excellent.
The course has recently been slightly modified and this adds interest: there’s a water hazard in the first hole, 8th and the 18th. The 8th also has a new green and a dog leg making it more challenging than before; the 10th has had the tee move back, so is now a longer par 4. The removal of rough under the trees on the 15th is also a welcome mod. The general tidiness and bins are good too. A course map on the scorecard would be a nice addition. Would recommend this course to anyone. Was good value at £22.50 per round.
Great course friendly members
Played this course for the first time on my birthday with my Dad, we joined up with a local member playing on his own on the 1st green and he talked us through every hole every shot it was a fantastic experience, the course itself is very quirky and you can’t hit driver all the way around which is nice you need to be able to play a draw and a fade to be in position to go at the flag, overall a very good game of golf and the food in the clubhouse was also very good, will definitely be returning another day.
Getting better
Fairways very dry and not alot of grass alive in places. Bounced a lot. Greens were ok but slow. Pace of play was decent got round in 3hrs 45 mins.
Great value for money
Good course. Challenging greens. Just a nice, picturesque course with a couple of water features. Both narrow and open holes. Very good value for money.

In the past year or so someone has clearly come in and boosted the grounds keeping. It's been a pleasure to play this year. I'm currently weighing up whether to get a membership. Only the one par 5 and that is the only criticism I can come up with.
Lovely friendly course
Friendly staff and ideal course for players that are new to the game and those that are not long hitters. Some of the rough is very long, so you need to be quite acurate.
Large car park, practice green and bunker and small driving range.
frienly shop and bar staff
Good golf
Good golf but a few 4 balls causing slow play other then that great course
Reasonably priced, great greens
Great short course, reasonably priced with very good greens.
Course layout snakes back and forth but signposted well.
Good driving range tucked into the trees by the first tee.
Great course, good price
Lovely course good value and nice clubhouse
