Great
Lovely course good abd varied challenges. Green were nice for this time of year,
Pace of play is a joke!
For the money I wouldn’t recommend if your willing to be
on the golf course for 6 hours! The club don’t give enough time between tee times and you end up waiting on tee boxes for 10 minutes a time! I walked off after 9 holes with a friend because there were 3 groups waiting to tee off on the 10th tee! An absolute joke! Bunkers are the only other bad thing about this course full of stones! I will say it was bone dry and is a very good winter course but there is no way I would recommend playing here!
Windy day - apparently it always is!
Course was very dry compared to our home course which was the main reason for our visit. Good value at £20 each on a hot deal. Some quirky holes with very good par 3s. Greens had been cored and sanded but we were notified of this prior to our visit. All in all well worth a visit.
Greens
Green in excellent condition for the time of the year
Fairways also not bad due to recent weather
Have a Handicap? - DON'T BOTHER WITH HERE
I logged into the England Golf app to create a scorecard for my handicap, only to find that the course had removed all of the markers, and I could go no further.
What a waste of a booking.
Got to the third and behind a queue of at least 3 x 4-ball.
Called it a day and walked off.
Still cold but very playable
When all others locally were semi open or still closed - Kilworth was very playable and enjoyable despite there still being a deep frost in the greens. This made approach shots a bit of a lottery but otherwise the greens putted well and gave all players the chance to enjoy 18 quality holes in the fresh air. Given the circumstance and weather per the last 10 days the course was exceptional and a warm and friendly welcome from the staff as usual. Access to the diving range prior makes Kilworth a great choice for any who wish to play somewhere different at any time of the year. Looking forward to our next visit when hopefully the greens will be a tad more receptive. Great Days golf, thanks to all.
First time here
The condition of the fairways, greens and teeboxes considering the time of year were immaculate.
Course lovely and good condition....however, if younplay at a wk end be prepared not to be let to "play through" as members apparently don't believe in this golf etiquette rule.
Me and my son waited on 8 holes to play through ,eventually the fourball did let us go but only after a 5 minute argument, them stating they let us play through but wouldn't normally as its there choice whether to or not.
As visitors to this club you wouldn't normally expect to be spoken to like this by members, but as per usual some members think they own the course...one course I certainly wouldn't go back to..solely because of ignorant members !!!
Fantastic views
I played first time at this course and it was fantastic thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely play here again
Beautiful setting
What a wonderful course, nice mix of long challenging holes to some straight at the pin shorts ones.
Some "Interesting" Holes
I was booked for 6.20 and had to wait for the grounds staff to get out and put the flags in the holes! They were actually moving them; after the 3rd, they were well ahead of me.
A cold start to the day with a decent ground frost and mist, reducing visibility to no more than 100 yards.
The hole's roughly in that direction - give it a whack!
I managed to avoid all of the water today.
Now, the annoying part - nobody could have set off ahead of me, yet as I turned onto the 10th tee, someone was walking off down the fairway.
There are a lot of public footpaths and a lot of chancers out there.
Good Course - Needs more TLC
Chucked it down for most of the round but the course held up well. Whether it was because we played on a Tuesday or the rain the greens were quite long but consistent and looked like they were a couple of cuts away from being pretty good. Course interesting and although bunkers have multiple variants of sand and in some cases rubble within the general state was good. Played off white tees which added greatly to the challenge on par 3s in particular adding 20 to 30 yards to the 2nd, 11th and 18th which increased the challenge. Would have benefitted greatly to playing it with someone who had played it before to steer us round the multitude of blind Tee shots. Only downside other than the weather was the long, rough terrain walks between the greens and some of the next Tees as the pathway for golf buggies put a real strain on the trolley that has hard wheels and no suspension. Driving Range by the side and big putting green adds to it all. Although marked as average I have it as nearly good but just let down by bunker sand and some elements of care that demonstrate time and resource focus.
Really Nice
Horrible rainy day but nice corse
Well kept .
Unfortunately my golf wasn’t as good as the corse .
Nice cheap driving range for a warm up as well
