Course in lovely condition
Another great round at Kings Hill, this is one of my favourite courses and the fairways and greens were in good condition. Very slow play ahead of us made it a long and at times frustrating round, but would still recommend.
Great conditions as usual
I have played Kings Hill numerous times in the past and it has never disappointed. Greens were rolling well and were firm without being punishing. I have not played here in the winter however when summer comes around it has never disappointed me. Unfortunately the pace of play was dreadful as it was a 5 hour round with no marshals on the course however on the day this was a minor hindrance to a great day. Bunkers were a little inconsistent with some a bit holding a fair few stones but far from bad bunkers.
Enjoyable
I took 3 friends here on Sunday as our course was closed due to being waterlogged.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our game, there were a few wet areas which you would expect given the amount of rain we have had but this great golf course was more than playable & we all really enjoyed it a great golfing experience & we look forward to coming back.
Very good course condition
Challenging course. Fairways and greens in very good condition, particularly for the time of year. We were a 2 ball that started at 12.10pm. Behind a 4 ball in a club condition and just finished 18 holes before it was too dark. I really enjoyed this course and have played quite a few in the South East this year.
Great condition
Great value round, fairways and greens in great condition. Gives you a chance if you hit it straight
A game of two halves
To speed the play I was asked to start on the back 9. The difficulty of the holes was low with a few bunkers easily avoided. But the front nine was very different with cambers leading to deep bunkers, gorse, trees in front of the tees, and some narrow greens making it tough if you strayed. A good challenge for golfers of all ages.
I am glad that I got a hot deal offer of £22 as the usual visitor rate on a Friday is £44 and £55 on a weekend. I would play again if I could get a deal as the higher rates are too high to justify
Top 5 in Kent
15 Handicapper.
Granted i havent played ALL the courses in Kent. Of the many i have played i consistently rank Kings Hill in my Top 5.
Played a 2 ball friday afternoon, very strong winds and a bit of rain did not degrade the condition of the course. Always quick and true greens. Fluffy bunkers. And always a strong challenge.
Shot 91 on one of my better days at kings hill! Round only took 3hrs for us this time, however i have had longer rounds as a 4 ball or part of a society there.
Lovely Course, Worth The Visit !!
I booked my round at Kings Hill through GolfNow and got it for £25 on their "Hot Deals", so glad I did. Even though the night before was raining, the course was in superb condition. It's true what they say that it's a good draining course, there wasn't any standing water at all, not even in the bunkers. No temporary tees or greens and along with the fairways, they were all in excellent order. All staff were very helpful and friendly and to top it all off, the hot chocolate, after the game, was the best I've ever had, worth going there for that alone !! I will definitely be back in the Summer :-)
Had an excellent day at Kings Hill. Course in fabulous condition with great variety of holes and tricky greens. Played well in tricky windy conditions. Look forward to playing here again. All staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.
Birthday treat
Turned up and was told there was a society booked in before us.
No pressure apart from catching the. Soceiety on our 6 th hole, which slowed things considerably.
A couple of opportunities to be called through but to no avail.
Weather was great so no problems until las t 5 holes dragged as weather and sunlight diminished.
Was a shame our last two holes were rushed however the course was in excellent condition and the greens were surprisingly quick for time of year ,all in all an excellent experience and will return.
Good links golf
First time playing golf in England. Have to say I really enjoyed it! Tee boxes were nice, fairways were perfect and greens were fast and rolled great! There were a few blind shots and decided to lay up instead of hit driver off the tee. Everything else was right in front of you. Some greens really had a lot of slope, made it fun to putt.
All in all an enjoyable first round of golf in South East England!
