Lindfield
Fairways and tees where in good condition but unfortunately the greens are pretty poor very sandy and little grass on 50% a little more investment needed to bring the course up to better standard
Lindfield
Very disappointing played here before it’s a lovely setting but the course is in very poor condition
Good not great
Would be a really good place to go but driving range & putting Green shut for not reason
Very poor!
Course was very muddy & wet with 7 winter green even though it has been dry for over a week & this was not disclosed before playing.
Greens that were playable were in a poor condition even for the time off year.
I play off 5 and would not recommend as you will just loose balls in the mud/very soft fairways which is frustrating!.
Wide and Generous Faiways
Lovely course for a higher handicap player, as the fairways are generous. Lovely tree lined fairways, so probably difficult to locate your ball in the Autumn. The only problem was that there are 3 or 4 fairways close to each other, so we did have players straying onto our fairway due to wayward tee shots. The greens were in excellent condition.
Golf
Lovely course , played with my son in law , very tight fairways , small greens but we both enjoyed Immensely, but fairways apart from a few trees do coincide with each other, would recommend for most high handicap golfers and will enjoy , , I will return , most enjoyable , thank you all at the course of Lindfield 👍🏌️♂️
Nice staff but course etiquette is lacking.
I don't mind this course for a quick round but it can be ruined by a batch of youngsters who have no or little idea of etiquette. We have all been young once but beer on the golf course and shouting and hollering, four balls blasting balls all over the place and not letting two balls through doesn't shine a good light on the club, especially if these youngsters come from the Golf College based on site. Noticed this behaviour on two recent rounds both on a Friday twilight and it's quite unacceptable at a golf club really as it will drive paying customers away.

This review is factually incorrect and thoughtless.
The Golf College are not on site at Lindfield Golf Club in August so the implication that Golf College students were involved is simply an ignorant falsehood.
lindfield
Nice course to get a low score on although one or two of the driving holes have tight tees. Back nines has a few short par 4's that can help achieve pars/birdies. Overall good value for money
Good value friendly golf
Lindfield is a very friendly and welcoming place.
Nice to have 18 separate holes (rather than playing 9 holes twice) and although these are relatively short, some holes do offer a challenge.
Everything fairly well looked after although I would say that the state of the tee boxes are pretty awful and so do need to be addressed.
Fun course
Not the most taxing but enough to keep you interested. A fairly short course that has a good layout to fit 18 into quite a small area. The staff were very friendly. My only warning would be that if you play early midweek there seems to be a fair few of the older generation than can obviously be a bit slow walking around. I found 17 balls at this course! The old folk must just leave them if they end up in the bushes.
Good course for beginners looking to improve
Good local course, reasonable price and ideal for those who are looking to learn and improve whilst on the course.
Most holes fairly up and down and nice and straight. Back 9 is a little more challenging and gives a good mix of long and short holes.
Always found the staff and members pleasant enough, though some of the 4 balls are often a little slow. I’ve played half a dozen times now and overall it’s been enjoyable
Good value course
This is a nice little course in decent condition but not one I enjoy playing unless it’s very quiet. There are a lot of holes that are only separated by one line of trees and so when it’s busy it makes it pretty unpleasant as there are balls frequently flying across from other holes.
Not an enjoyable round
The course itself is quite basic even for someone fairly new to golf, with not many bunkers, obstacles or bends. The tee boxes are as long as the rough and the fairways this time of year are effectively swamps.
Lots of nicer courses around this time of year for a similar cost.
Greens generally good. Too many temporary Tees
A lot of areas grass too long. Grass cuttings left in many places hampering play.
Course was open despite many other local courses being shut
Given the recent weather I was pleasantly surprised on arrival to find the course was still open. Other much more expensive courses in the area were all closed on the day we played. The Bar Manager gave us an incredibly warm welcome which has always been the case when we played here previously . The fairways and greens had all been mown and it was clear the green keepers are making a valiant effort despite the shambolic weather we have been blessed with recently. Two of the holes had been significantly reduced in length due to being roped off which in fairness didn't affect our overall enjoyment. It is boggy in places especially between the tee's and fairways but the condition of the fairways and green's makes up for this. In short , this is an excellent course for the money and it is clear they are improving the course with the maintenance efforts we saw on the day. No doubt in Summer it will look the best we have seen since we started playing here over 10 years ago. You cannot beat the cheesy chips on the 19th hole!
You need wellies to play this course
I suppose ir is summer only course, greens are similar to fairways on good course.
I have to say your playing a course on clay in the middle of winter that’s open what was you expecting ?? If you want good winter golf play one of the courses on chalk no ?
