Brilliant condition for the time of year worth a trip up an definitely be going back

Love this course. By far best in Manchester area. Course is always in excellent condition. Can be a real test but birdies are out there.

People are very friendly, food is excellent.

What’s not to love?

Only course I would consider becoming a member of.

Quality course. In great condition, especially for the end of March. Can't wait to play it in the summer

We played this during awful weather and at a time when the course is having some work done to improve the drainage on a few holes. Despite this, it was worth every penny!
Great layout, great greens, incredibly friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Well worth the money , Just a very good golf course with great views and surprisingly peaceful being close to Manchester. Would 100% recommend

Paid good money £40 each 5 holes closed and not notified weather was good as well , members talked to us like second rate citizens forgetting that visitors are financially supporting clubs as well . Green staff followed as at every hole and waited for us to putt out before working on the greens which became really off putting after a while . Just not a great round would not visit again despite the course being really nice

This is the nicest course I have played so far, unfortunately been hammering down and work being done on 5 holes to help drainage only holes 1-9 and 15 to 18 open however pro said happy for me to play it twice if I wanted, tee boxes immaculately maintained and fairways good despite the torrential rain, greens fast and true for the time of year, would definitely play again

Cracking golf course! First time playing and will definitely be going back. If you like a challenge book this course. Best course I’ve played around Manchester.

This is hands down my favourite course in Greater Manchester. Set on a massive plot of land so there’s always space and little congestion, the heathland is really pleasant with tons of wildlife such as deer and rabbits roaming around and birds of prey flying overhead. The course was in excellent condition despite very little rain recently, the greens were fast but still lush and nothing was baked out. The course is long but fair with generous fairways. Good scoring is definitely possible but it makes you step up and hit some big boy/girl golf shots. 3 gettable par 5s on the front nine make it the easier side so make hay.. After the turn, more accuracy is demanded, including two picturesque par 3s that go straight onto the shortlist of holes to make an ace on. Huge fan of this course.

First time at course played on a Sunday afternoon course very quiet which allowed us to take in all the glory of this great course In fantastic condition and not a weak hole in all of the 18 every hole had something that made it stay in the memory. will be returning to play again would recommend a buggy as it up and down on every hole and my legs felt it on last few holes (I’m 62) we’ll worth a visit

We had golf handicaps 12.15,15, Fantastic course in great condition, a great test of golf and tough closing holes, fantastic scenery and a good challenge, recommend to all , superb course and will be going back next year

We paid on a discounted rate at £30 (normally £100 a round). It is a beautiful course and I would pay £50 but no more. Saying that the course is beautiful, fairways are wide enough for a starter but it is long so don’t be too disheartened if you have a high score. The greens are fast even though it had raised the previous day and they were soft so you could aim pin high. The scenery of Manchester and South Lancashire is beautiful. We had a drink in the club house and watched the football. The two bar maids were very friendly and helpful and the local people were friendly. Great course definitely play again at a discounted rate. Lovely course.

Will be playing this great course again for sure , can’t fault the course and the polite staff and members , thank you for a brilliant days golf.
