Good day out

Nice warm sunny day but quite windy for our visit.
Good pace of play, just a single player in front of us so he was soon gone out of the way.
Tee boxes a little worn in parts but the greens were the best we have played on so far this year.
The course is not the most difficult nor the longest but we enjoyed our day there.
We used the 19th hole spike bar after for for food and drink afterwards, very nice, apparently you need to be a social member to use the facility, although they made an exception for us. Thanks.

Winter round

Have played here a few times and normally enjoy, but this time 3 greens were closed and another green was shortened by 60%. So great in summer but winter really took its toll. The first hole is normally littered with range balls so some better netting wouldn't go a miss. All said will be back when it's dried out again.

Too Expensive for time of year

Me and my friend played on saturday. Yes it’s winter yes it’s very wet, but why on earth are we being charged £27.50, each, for a course that’s only partially open.
The front 9 was an absolute travesty. 3 out of 9 holes were closed, and the remaining holes were shortened by approx 1000yards.
The price needs to reflect the conditions, and it didn’t. The back 9 was very playable and we quite enjoyed that. Maybe close the front 9 and allow golfers to play the back 9, twice.

Regent Park Bolton

Course was ok but one hole was closed due to drainage works and two par5s were reduced to par3s. We were still charged the full rate. Drinks in the club house were expensive.

Played here twice now, once late last year and it was really boggy (understandable to a degree) so thought I’d give it another try.
Drainage is really poor, especially fairways.
Looked last year like they were doing works due to heaps of soil and sand in places but it hasn’t moved. Not great.

So so so slow

Played today really slow front 9 took about 2.5 hours. Waiting every shot. 2 balls in front then multiple 4 balls.
Course has seen better days, back nine flowed better than front 9, seems some people gave up.

Greens were ok not brilliant a lot of rough grass and patches on fairways.

Could be really good, poor drainage

Nice course, good pro shop and decent range with top tracer. A lot of soggy ground after not a huge amount of rain recently. Would be spot on if the drainage was better.

Excellent. Great value

Really well kept course. Everything in brilliant condition. Zero quibbles. Only thing I’d say is if the course is opening at 5:40 which was our tee time there should be facility to park

Slow Play

Where do I start, I guess the positives. The Clubhouse staff are very friendly and helpful and the course was in half decent condition concedering all the rain we've had but and this is a big but, The pace of play was the worst I've ever experienced in my 10 years of playing golf, we walked off after 9 holes which took 3 hours!!! We was a two ball stuck behind a 3 ball then a 2 ball then infront of them a four ball. Now this can happen at any course but the 8min tee off time gap is so unrealistic and that is making tbe experience very poor. I for one won't be playing it again in a hurry especially for 30 quid

Avoid in winter

Fine layout but fairways awful in winter. Standing water and bog galore. Some greens muddy. Difficult winter all round for golf courses but £30 is not a fair or appropriate price tag for a round here in those conditions.
