Decent course, odd club house !
Overall had a good round....the course makes excellent use of the space through smart layout and the greens and fairways were very well looked after. The leaves were a massive problem but that's our fault for playing in October of course !
Friendly enough golfers all playing the day we played and the lady who opened the entrance door was very pleasant....the only slightly odd thing was the club house. It's like stepping back in time. Despite a big sign on the door saying visitors and guests welcome, there was no reception/desk/shop. The front door was obviously securely locked and we had to find a bell before someone came and let us in. No one cared if we'd booked or when we were playing, etc....and there was a massive mountain of rubbish and junk piled up next to the main entrance...bizarre.

Enjoyed every hole on the course. Being local also makes it a pleasure to play. The course feels spacious the fareways are wide so don’t have to worry to much about other golfers 🏌️♀️ The greens are in tip top condition. Great value for money. Enjoy every minute.
Course was in remarkably good condition given the recent hot and dry weather
I would recommend this golf club to anybody, the course, clubhouse and the friendly staff, would definitely play this course again.
Nice course with good variety of holes
Played here again for the second time this year and enjoyed a nice round. Pace of play was fine except getting stuck behind a 4 ball who didn't want to let us through but luckily they went off after 9 holes.
Course was playing very nicely - greens were great and running very well. Maybe only the a few scrappy tees let it down. Runcorn is a nice mixture of holes and will definitely go back to play again. Stayed for a drink after in a nice little sun trap by the putting green!
Very slow a four ball in front looked like they were playing a major - all over the course and not once was the offer made to play through ….tee boxes and fairways needed a cut - play Runcorn quite a lot and people don’t seem to care how slow they play - won’t be booking a late afternoon tee time again …
Great course to play
I regularly visit Runcorn and it never lets me down. Hard work on presentation of ditches and ponds over the last year or so have paid off and the place looks very smart. Comfortable walking but a good challenge. Fully recommend.
Nice course and great value for money
Played here a couple of years ago on a wet later October afternoon so wanted to try it in better conditions - and wasn't disappointed!
The course was a very good condition and greens were excellent - ran true if a touch slow on some. There is a nice mixture of holes and difficulty levels with a few water and foliage features to help it's character. Tees well marked and maintained. The pro was helpful and bar staff friendly when we stayed for a drink afterwards. Definitely good value for money at £20. Would certainly play again.
4 ball players should let other people pass through
Paid for 18 holes only got to play 14 as the group before were so bloody slow it got dark before I could finish. The group before were so slow I had 2 other players waiting to tee off behind me. Took around 5 hours to play 14 holes that is the longest game of my life just because the group in front would not let players pass through. The course was amazing it was beautiful but those players ruined the game for me.
Brilliant course in great condition…. Greens especially good …
Plenty of improvements but greens not good
The course has had a few improvements the most noticeable was the pond on the 2nd, the undergrowth has been removed and some trees, this has improved this hole and the 17th no end, well done. But the greens were bobbly and slow, not as good as they usually are for this time of year. Clubhouse has also been decorated and is much brighter.
Great course - will be back again!!
Great course, extremely friendly. The only thing that lets down the course is the signage in places, but I’m sure that could be easily sorted. The Guinness after the round was also surprisingly good!!
Excellent Course
Third time I’ve played here and the course was in great shape. Great value for money and a great course.
Well maintained course
Always a pleasure playing at Runcorn, we'll maintained, a good challenge and freindly staff in shop and bar.
Cracking course
Played this course at 3:10pm it was very quiet as we arrived a few people finishing the last few holes. We booked in at the pro shop greeted with a warm welcome, the club has a nice small selection of clothes and clubs, and then accessories if you forget anything before you tee off, the putting green is in good condition and the course is in even better!! the fairways were cut nice and the rough was quite short but still challenging enough to take the spin from your shots. The greens were Mixed for firmness some exposed greens dried out and we’re playing firmer and made the putting tricky especially with the Sunday pins, hole 5 was in a particularly challenging position well done greenkeepers, overall a good game of golf for all levels of player, thanks Runcorn will definitely be back this year
