West Malling Golf Club - Hurricane Course

Very well maintained course by the best I’ve played as a beginner but will be due to the price.

Great course, suitable for all levels of player, staff friendly and helpful, thoroughly enjoyed our round..

Easier walk of the 2 courses on offer , good condition,

Would say £35 a bit steep , £25 -28 would be more reasonable
Since me bunkers need more work , but as good as seen the course in a while

For a P&P course this is great value. The greens are surprisingly true and roll well. The fairways are very muddy, although this is to be expected at this time of the year for an inland course. There are some long walks between holes. The clubhouse is impressive. Will be back, best value for money I've had in a long time.

I appreciate that we have had a lot of sun recently.
However all the other courses local have their fairways in good nick. This one not so much.

I feel £30 was way too steep for the public course conditions

The course played weather even after the recent bad weather. Hurricane course is set out well and would really like to play this in the summer.

Wanted to play a course fairly local to me with morning availability. Which this had. The Hurricane Course is the easier and shortest of the two.Eleven of the Eighteen holes-those on the clubhouse side side suffer from poor fairways-very muddy albeit work is being undertaken to improve them from what i could see. The 16th has temporarily been altered to another Par 3 due to Fairway renovation making seven Par 3's in all. The Greens were pretty good in my opinion. Its a course to hone your Par 3 skills. Personally i think that it should have a cheaper green fee to the Spitfire course due to these problems which I also played recently and is longer and more of a test.

A good course to play if you are after a quick 18 holes. Nothing overly memorable but not a bad play. either. Greens and fairways are well kept although some work on the course around the 16th, currently looks messy and has reduced that hole from a par 4 to a much easier par 3. I used to prefer this course to the Spitfire, but currently I’d say the Spitfire is more interesting and challenging. A good clubhouse and pro shop at this club with helpful and friendly staff too. All in all good if you want a quick round but play the Spitfire if you take your golf more seriously.

Very busy venue but managed well. Course is not long but pretty challenging for the high handicapper.

Played an afternoon 4 ball on the hurricane. Course was busy when we arrived but pace of play was excellent. Course was in good condition and the greens were very good. Little bit of a walk between certain holes and although the course is on the shorter side, it didn't feel like it to play. Would be happy to play here again.
