As Good As It Gets
If you're fortunate enough to get an invite, this will be one of the most memorable rounds of golf you'll ever play. CCF is quiet easily the most unique and interesting course in the State. There has been a war on trees at the club for years. What's left is a classic links course hidden on one of the most exclusive plots of shoreline in all of Connecticut. There isn't a boring hole on the course. The front 9 takes you out around the exterior of the property while the back 9 takes you inland. Views of the long island sound from just about every tee shot. I think the three-hole stretch of 4, 5 and 6 is as good as any three-hole stretch anywhere. The sixth hole par 4 could be the best golf hole in the state: it demands an accurate drive to a blind landing zone before an even more challenging approach with a mid iron into a hugely sloping left to right (towards the water) green.
Condition of the course is always perfect. Hard to beat a day at CCF.

This is easily the best course in the state of Connecticut. An old style course that was returned to its roots several years back when over 100 trees were removed. A short course that can play long depending on the wind. Unfortunately not everyone can enjoy this wonderful piece of real estate - members old.
I grew up caddying at this course and have the fortunate invitation once a year to return to play.
