Gets better every year
It was early April but the course was already in very good shape. The greens were nice, fairway good, and it was cleaned up. Definitely worth a look.
Oak hills early season golf
considering the date, the course is in excellent condition.
GUR
Short and quirky holes, especially first nine. Tee boxes and bunkers under repair on many holes.
Lots of doglegs and blind spots, so you need to know where to hit your tee shots,
Practically no service in restaurant and below average food at above average prices.
Major improvements showing
I've lived in Norwalk for over 23 years, so I've seen many states of this course. I stopped playing it some years back because it was in rough shape. All that has changed. They put a ton of work into the course, and it shows. Fairways and greens were in the best shape I've ever seen, even this late in the year. New bunkers are being readied for next season, and the finished ones are superb. Compliments to the greenkeeping staff! Cart paths on some holes still need a redo, but there are new paths on several holes, and completing them course-wide will add the finishing touch. The bar restaurant is a real plus: comfortable, good menu, pleasant service.
I'm definitely signing up for my residence card next year, but even without it, the price for the round was very reasonable.
Better than Sterling
For a public course this is got to be one of the best in the State of CT.
Start with the staff - perfect, friendly, and insightful.
This course is very well maintained and I have played some of the big name courses. Spot on markers, greens are challenging for first timers, and tee boxes re level and perfect.
The course won't beat you but I'm sure your find some challenging shots. Oak Hills is named for a reason

Redoing sand traps and one tee box but those are upgrades for next year.

Nice Course
Very nice course. Good layout, well maintained. Only issue with this round were the greens were recently sanded, and not blown. When it’s days like these I just wish they’d give a bit of a discount beforehand. I would definitely still recommend the course.

I love this place and hate saying so because it won’t stay my secret place.
Good greens
The course is in good condition. The greens roll nicely. Good time of the year to play.
