Tradition Golf Club at Oak Lane is situated in the quiet town of Woodbridge, just 20 minutes from New Haven. Formerly known as Oak Lane County Club, the course was both renamed and renovated when it was acquired by the management team at The Tradition Golf Club at Wallingford. Many of the holes were updated but the golf course retained its challenging but playable nature. Though the course is player friendly enough to appeal to players of all skill levels, there are still several challenges in store. Numerous strategically placed bunkers lurk along the greens and towering trees also frame most of the holes. The holes are mostly straightforward with a few tricky doglegs to keep you on your toes. You'll also be confronted with the occasional water hole. Both your accuracy and short-game skills will be tested at Tradition Golf Club at Oak Lane.

Enjoyable course
Had the opportunity to play the Traditions while visiting my daughter in West Haven. Didnt play very well but that didn't ruin my day or detract from the nice course layout. No much in the way of amenities. My only negative experience came when someone stole my headcover off of my Ping hybrid shortly before teeing off.
Staff is awesome
I golf here many times throughout the season. I have already played twice in April alone. The staff is super friendly and helpful with everything. Thank you very much to the entire staff for making each time I play, a truly wonderful golf outing……

It’s early in the season and the golf course as good as expected for this time of year. A little hard to put with the dimples but in a few more weeks It should be prime..

Long Way
They have come a long way from when the first took over the course. Pace of play was way better and its a great course aside from the 9th hole which I hate lol. But has become a go to place to play.
Good round
A decent course for the money. Greens were just aerated and they are redoing some bunkers.

Played on Sunday and love the NEW carts. Staff let me know they are finishing the last few holes of their bunker project. This place is special, if you haven’t played Oak Lane you’re missing a gem!
Not good for price paid ,$50 For play ,sand traps all dug up ,bragged about new carts,not set up yet ,grounds not ready, not worth that money in march
Last round of season for me
I wanted to play my last round at my favorite track. They did an awesome job with the leaves! They are still rolling and mowing the greens, they were so fast! I spoke to one of the staff who let me know that they are running a promotion and all their tee times are going to be $5 cheaper on their website www.traditionatoaklane.com. I love GolfNow but I think that’s great, I’ll definitely book there now! Thanks again
Liked the cart GPS system. Helps with the speed of play.
Golf Carts Agef
We were given a cart with sluggish starting, a loose gas pedal and loose brakes pedal. GPS included Was only thing working.
