It was a blustery day!
Great coarse, range balls worth the trip and the price!
Wild Quail Golf Club
The golf course is in great shape and I plan to play there on a regular basis.
The course is in great shape, tee boxes, fairways and Greens
I plan to play this golf course at least twice a year.
Great experience
Pulled up and Avery brought my cart right out to my truck, didn’t even have to step foot inside. Free range balls with your round. Course was wet but they didn’t make you stay cart path only, which was great.
Good value
Course ws in good shape. Had a few spots under repair but did not interfere with golf. Greens were extremely fast. Good Value.
Nice private track
I played here once 5-6 years ago. I remember nice over all conditions and that range balls are included with the cost of the round. VERY COOL!! Also, I played on aerated greens then, and again today. Seems to have been done a couple weeks ago and didn’t effect puts much. If anything, it helps slow things down because the greens were fast, even with the dimples.
We played white tees at just under 6200 yards. Starts with a nice par 5 that I happened to cash in a birdie putt on today. 95% flat, as is the norm in Delaware. Tees and fairways I’ll say 85%-90% great!! Course had some wear and tear from a insanely hot summer. A couple greens on back 9 had ground under repair areas of fresh laid sod on the fringe and collor areas. The first par 3 is the shortest of the bunch, but has a nice pond just along the right side that gobbled up my playing partners ball.Their is some other water on the course you need to avoid The other par 3s are all in the 155-180 yard range and have forced carry. Nice mix of short and long holes with scoring opportunities if your hitting it good. The bunkers were 60%-40% to the good. Plenty of people working on the course. It was what we expected from a private course. Would recommend and hope to play here again if I can catch another deal.
Disappointed
Golfed here a few years ago and really liked it. This time I was very surprised with the conditions of the golf course. Especially for being a private course. I understand it’s been a rough season with lots of rain but it looked like it hasn’t been cared for in a while. The fringe was just all dirt in some places with a clump of grass here and there. Couldn’t putt through it if you wanted to or your ball would go every which way like “Plinko”. If you didn’t hit your drive right smack in the middle of the fairway, you lost your ball. The rough was ridiculous. The golf shop bathroom was disgusting, was afraid to touch anything. At the turn, went to 3 different doors of the main building to find one open to head to the bathroom which smelled and looked like an old lady. Needs some updating. Just overall, we were quite disappointed with Wild Quail and if I was a member here, I’d be very upset with the course and facility.
Great course for all level of golfers
This course is well maintained and very friendly to all skill levels. I will be playing again.
Excellent Course and Staff
We have played this course numerous times over the years and find it is one of the best courses in Delaware and on the Delmarva Peninsula. It's a beautiful course, especially during the normal golfing months of the year. For this early time of the season, it's as good as possible. Year-round their grounds staff are constantly working to keep it top-notch. We both use either a golf cart or we walk, depending on the weather. It's a nice golfing escape at any time. When it is normally open as usual, the staff at the Pro Shop and the Club are very friendly and the food is excellent.
