Great military course
Easy to get to, you don’t have to go through a military gate/check point to enter. Course was fun to play, in great condition and the views are beautiful. Played 5 times as a single during our vacation and the staff was always nice to get me out as quick as they could pair me up with a group. My wife rode along a couple of times and was welcomed for only the additional cart fee.
Broken hand honeymoon round
My wife and I visited Oahu for our honeymoon. We played the course on a sunny very windy day
We were paired with another couple who were very patient and nice to play with
The front nine was going well until we’re got to a par 4 possibly the 5th or 6th hole The was a hill behind the green which led down to a pond
The wind blew my hat off and over the hill
I went after it and slipped on the loose dirt falling and broke the hamate bone on my left hand
We finished the round without further incident
Won’t ever forget that round lol
great value
I always play here when I'm on the island. The layout is fun. The back nine has some really nice tee shots. The value is great especially if you're military.
Very good, but not great (except value)
Joined some friends for a round at Navy Marine, having played a couple of the other military courses on Oahu already. All are great value, with a consistent level of conditions and playability, like all military courses I have played. Basically, well conditioned, no frills, solid layout at a value price. Navy Marine is no different, as the land is basically flat. Par 5's are reachable (all under 500yards), but some tough holes that would be tougher with any kind of wind.
Great value and worth a visit. Playable by anyone, not just military.
Affordable Straightforward Course
I've been playing this course whenever I've been stationed in Hawaii for the past eight years and Navy Marine is a solid play for the cost and location. I'm currently a 27 handicapper so I'm not asking for much either...
Navy Marine is a very straightforward course without too much crosswind. Even from the tips, it's not an overwhelming course but is definitely fun to play (I love every course I play, though).
The restaurant upstairs and grill downstairs are awesome and quick. They play host to a lot of military office functions. The pro shop is small but has what you need in case you forget something. And the guys and girls working the pro shop are super friendly and are genuinely concerned about you going out there and having a good time.
This is my home course for GHIN purposes and will always recommend this course to visiting friends. It's also a five minute drive from my office on Pearl Harbor so super convenient to play a twilight nine before heading home or hit the range which is lit until 2100/9pm ($6 for a bucket).
Great course
Course is in excellent shape. Got our round done in 4 hours. Very friendly staff and great facilities. Enjoy playing the course every time I am in Hawaii.
