Cart Paths
Cart paths are in terrible shape with many pot holes. Required you to drive around car paths to avoid damaging cart.
Joe Blow
Overpriced course for the conditions. Cart path had Potholes filled with water all over the course. Worst cart paths I have ever been on. Weeds growing out of the waste bunkers. I only played here because I had a discounted tee time. i would never pay full price around $125 for this course.
Port course
First, I set up a teatime for the starboard course and when we arrive, I was told we got moved to the port Course your website says you open at 7 AM. We drove there from Michigan got there at 7 AM and we had to sit outside the gate for 35 minutes waiting for someone to open the gate. Then when we get inside, nobody was in the pro shop for another 15 minutes. We was given a golf cart that only had enough charge to get us to the third hole and we had to have another golf cart brought to us and on top of all that the car pass were horrendous
Very good, but could be great.
The Starboard Course is in excellent condition, except for the bunkers, which need more and better-quality sand. The course is challenging from the Championship tees, and the layout is a complete test of golf for the low—to mid-handicap golfer.
Best in Chicago
Harborside is the best golfing venue in the city, about 20-25 minutes from downtown. Everything you need for a great golfing experience!
Unfriendly staff
Course is great
Cart paths are horrible
Our cart died on the first hole
Needed to have another brought to us
Ranger wanted to make it our fault
Kept asking what we did wrong
When replacement cart came, young guy said they have had problems with that one and thought it was fixed. He was very apologetic. Starter/Ranger was an ***, is the only reason I won’t play there again. I guess customer service is low on there priorities.
Great time!
Always try to get off right after a morning outing. It was the fastest round I’ve played here. Thanks for the great conditions!
Great Layout
Course was in great condition spite Fairway bunkers could use more attention & better kept up. THE CART PATHS WERE CRAPPY AS I HAVE EVER PLAYED . NEED NEW CART PATHS. POT HOKES & MISS CHUNKS OF ASPHALT ALL OVER. 😪😪
Excellent Course
Very enjoyable course- fair but you still have to hit the ball accurately. Some "angry" pin placements where being above the hole was tough. But overall, its well maintained and the views of the city and surrounding area are terrific. Good staff, good options for food and drink on the course throughout the round.
Cart paths need some work
The course is in great shape. It’s close to the city and a challenging but playable course. Carta have GPS and overall just an enjoyable round. But the cart paths feel like driving on Chicago expressways with all the potholes. Please fix the cart paths!!
Disappointing and overpriced
It’s a good layout but it’s really too bad Kemper doesn’t take better care of the course. The conditions are average at best. The cart paths are in dire need of replacement. The bunkers are a joke with an inconsistent blend of fine sand/gravel/rocks. Overpriced for what it is, but gets a lot of play due to the proximity to the city. There are so many better options for less money.
