Quick Round
Mid afternoon round. Pace was great. Course in great condition. Enjoyable round.
Tam O'Shanter
Fun course. I got there early on a Sunday, pace of play was good. By the time I had finished and had a drink at the Howard Street Inn, it looked like the tee times were backing up a bit at the 1st tee (around 1 pm). Pretty well kept and some challenging bunker positions.
Cold & Windy
Course was in great condition as were the greens. Pace was good even though there were lots of golfers. The weather was cold and windy but the round was still very enjoyable.
Best 9 hole course in the Chicago area!!
What can I say, but I’m so fortunate to have been playing this course for over 20 years! Always in great conditions, with the nicest people working there and very appreciative to have this close to Chicago. Thank you!! Extremely grateful to Peter the Manager who makes this course the Best in the area with the nicest staff around, always helpful and courteous to every golfer ⛳️
Short Round
Course was in great shape. Pace was good. Enjoyed the round very much.
Tam - Hidden Gem
Looking to get in 9 holes. I have driven by the course many times and finally got the urge to play it. Shorter par 4s and challenging par 3s. Course was in great shape for being late March. Greens were in great shape rolling true.
It was one of those courses where you feel great after you’ve finished. Friendly staff, enjoyable all the way around.
What more could you ask for to start the season! - course was clean and in great shape for the 2nd day of march. Welcoming staff, pace was good for it being crowded. Still the best 9 hole option around.
Best round
Played my best round of the year here.
Historic course, will test your game.
Great 9 hole course, easy to walk, challenging; well maintained, great staff, a gem.
It was fun
We went on a Tuesday morning and pace of play was good. Course was in great condition considering all the rain. We walked with 3 players and were done in just over two hours.
Top notch
Great short course. Great pub I played a thousand times
Still in great shape for late season...Course does a great job keeping leaves clear and staff is always friendly.
Gem of a course
Besides being a historic course, it’s an absolute hidden gem. The course is maintained perfectly. The entire staff goes over the top and actually remembers your name if you play there more than once. Peter, the GM, is so accommodating anytime we have a small request and makes you feel like it’s a country club. After the round the on-site restaurant/bar Howard Street Inn makes it even more special. We have a few drinks and relive the round. If you have not played it I highly recommend you give it a try.
