Early round
Didn’t play great but will take an 87. 62 and played from green senior tees for first time. Suits my game better. Staff was all very friendly and lunch was delicious.
Enjoyable course even in tough conditions
I have played Christmas Lake dozens of times over the years. Today's round was sunny and 70 but the fairways were quite wet (cart path only and I lost two balls that plugged). Most of the traps were filled with water. The greens were slow and needed to be rolled. There was a 20mph wind too. All that said, no course in the area would have been in pristine shape after all of the rain and melt that we had.
I enjoyed myself and will be back again.
Great shape
They have upgraded carts with trackers which are nice! The greens are looking good as well.
Enjoyed having fun with my partner
It's been 15-20 years ago since I played it. But I was pleased with the course. Plan to come back.
Very pleasureful
Been 15 yrs since I last played there , but I still enjoyed having a good place to go. Grounds have been kept up and showed some aging. I greatly enjoyed it and plan to go back.
Great layout, hadn’t played in several years
Recent dry weather hurt some fairways, overall course was in great shape. I played from middle tees and had a good time.
First Timer
I played this course with my son for the first time. We had a really good time. Fun course, with it's share of challenges. Clubhouse Grill was very nice and friendly staff. My son said the cheeseburger was the best he's ever had.
Great course
This is one of my favorite courses to play and the course is always in great condition every time I play
Always nice to play Christmas Lake
They switched the 9s but the beauty is still there, including deer, wild flowers, and birds.
Fairways were in great shape and greens were above average. The bunkers need a little help.
It's a treat to play here.
One of the best logos in golf
Made a side trip to play a course that has one of the coolest logos in all of golf. Golfing Santa next to a Christmas tree makes me smile! The young man in the shop could not have been nicer and was so pleasant..
Not sure when but I guess they flipped the two nines as my GPS thought I was starting on hole 10. The front side is quite hilly with major elevation changes and very scenic. It goes out into the woods and is peaceful. The ninth hole is right next to a big house and is all carry over a small lake. The front tee box is interesting and is built into the lake!
The back nine plays more through a residential housing complex and pretty flat terrain. It’s still nice but a lot different than the front nine. The par-3 14th hole is very cool and is a semi-island green.
The greens have subtle slopes and were in good shape. Putts rolled true. The fairways are starting to green up and nice to hit off of. I guess the course doesn’t get a ton of play as it is in a pretty remote location. On a nice Friday in the late morning, I saw only four cars in the parking lot! But if you ever are in Holiday World, make a trip to play Christmas Lakes.
