Solid 27 Hole Course
Course had great conditions, great layout, and 27 unique holes. East and west are the longest while all three 9s have several holes with big elevation changes/ memorable holes.
Worth a play if in the area.
Overbooked
We had 3 different groups waiting to tee off on every tee throughout the 18 holes, we complained about it be so packed and all their excuse was well were full. 18 holes 5 1/2 hours!!!
Value
Great value for the money. Sand traps needed some work. Will play again.
Not up to par
This used to be one of the nicest courses in the area but that is no longer true. Fairways are very thin and have several patches of weeds. Greens are plenty big and most likely decent but all of them were recently aerated when we played.
Grass
This was one of the nicest courses in Louisville. Now, the fairways are spotty and thin. It's like playing on a goat ranch. The greens are the opposite of pure and consistent. The collars and fringes have crab grass and are in terrible shape. The rough clovers and crab grass. Its hard to get a good lie even if you roll the ball. How it made this list, I'll never know. It's not even close to as good as Nevel Meade or Gibson Bay.
Great Condition
First time I've played the course in many years. Excellent shape T's Fairways greens all excellent look forward to playing again next time I come to Louisville
Fun course
I really enjoyed the layout and the course was well kept, staff was great I would definitely go back next time I’m in the area.
Course has outstanding Early Season conditions
Played this course for many years. This spring, the fairways are in prime condition. Talked to the manager, and he said they did some overseeding in the fall and weather conditions this winter favored growth. With 27 holes, this course gives you great variety, AND can take you even on short notice.
Ridiculous
Cart path only.
Was not even wet.
Greens were horrible
Great course
Excellent course for price, good course for any skill level, and course was well maintained.
Cold Weather Golf
First time playing golf in the 30s. It was cold but the cart was fully enclosed so the weather didn't get to me. The golf played well was in good shape even after a light snow that morning. The course was pretty empty because of the weather but the staff was friendly and I had a great time. I will definitely play this course again. I played the west and south courses. Next time I will try the east.
Rude Staff
As usual with Quail, it was cart path only, even though the course was bone dry. This really hurts the pace of play. The greens were aerated, which is no big deal except we were not informed of this prior to booking our 1:00 tee time. We didn't finish the round because we were told to leave by the staff when we were on hole 17. Apparently they close at 5:00, which again, was not aware of before booking the tee time. There was still a solid 45 min to an hour left of sunlight. When I asked them if we could just finish out our round (a whole 1 1/2 holes), the staff member got an attitude with me as if I said something about his momma. Needless to say they wont be getting my business anytime soon. This place truly believes they're on Valhalla's level, but they are far from it. Don't waste your time and money on this goat ranch.
It's always good course
Quail Chase Golf Course has 27 holes with great shape. I would like to play at West Course, but we had not because of it was work.
Greens were in good shape and rolled true, and the fairways also were good except for a few holes.
We caught up with a 5some group that was playing extremely slow. Hence we skipped one hole. That was no good.
waste of money
We booked 18 holes, but only played 8 because of frustration with pace of play. Took 2 1/2 hours to play 8 holes. Either this course over books tee times or they don't care about pace of play. We called pro shop and talked with male manager, asking him for a rain check for 9 holes. He agreed, but when we came in the woman manager was there and refused to give us a rain check, since it was booked on Golf Now. This course's fairways were in poor shape and it was also cart path only on a warm suunny day. They also had a golf scramble scheduled there while we were there. We will not waste our money playing here. This is not the first time we have encountered extremely slow pace of at at this course. Not a good value. Don't play here unless you have 5 1/2 or 6 hours and lots of patience. Once they have your money they don't care.
Felt let down
Fairways were absolutely disgraceful , greens pretty good for weather which it had received, front nine 21/2 hours stuck behind a 3 ball, got through on 10 back nine 11/2 that's with wife.
Fall is here.
IF THE ROUGH AT QUAIL ISN'T DEMANDING ENOUGH, ADD LEAVES. REALLY HAD TO KEEP THE BALL IN THE FAIRWAY. GREENS WERE IN GOOD SHAPE. AFTER ALL THE RAIN THE COURSE WAS IN GOOD SHAPE. ENJOYED THE DAY EVEN THOUGH PLAY WAS REALLY SLOW.
Nice
will play again. It is a great course with nice fairways
Fun course
Played the east and west 9. Found some of the east fairways were in bad shape. I think they will come back but its hard to work on the fairways when golfers are constantly there. Greens were excellent. Paid $49 for 18 holes with a cart.
Dr Don
A beautiful layout, very picturesque, would recommend for a weekend or weekday round
Nice shape for the money
The girls behind the countet was very helpful and friendly, the guy would have rather been playing golf, and he showed it
