Good & Interesting Round
I wish there was a 3.5 star option. I thought the course in general was in good shape. Greens were pretty good, tee boxes could use a little work but I've seen worse. Pretty strait forward, easier course layout. Traps didn't really come into play because they were very small and I, don't remember seeing any water hazards on the course. Unlike some other reviews, I don't think fences or roads really hindered any holes... maybe one? Value was great! I found an online rate of $25 with a cart.
This was my first time playing a "city course". There were 2 people that walked past on several holes that seemed to be cutting through (one in pajama pants carrying take-out food). I wasn't too concerned, but I'm also a younger, larger man who's in decent shape. There were also a good number of police sirens and car horns. Honestly, thought, you should somewhat expect this when you book a round at a more urban area.
One complaint was the waiver you have to sign to take a cart. I have never had to sign a waiver for a golf cart before the round. The waiver was basically saying you are responsible for the cart... even if it's stolen. If you have such an issue with carts being stolen or damaged... in my opinion, you need to find solutions to the problem in other ways, and not just place blame on the golfers.
Play Clifton Park as soon as possible!
The course is in AMAZING condition. The entire course for tees to greens are well kept! Kudos to all the staff. I play three time a week minimum, compared to courses in the Washington, Md and Va. area it's tops!!!!
VERY NICE CITY COURSE - I ENJOYED IT
First time playing this course and I paired up with two nice men that happened to be Balt County Firefighters, real pleasant guys to play golf with for 4 hours. Course was a bit wet from all the rain, but was in really good shape and the greens were excellent and pretty quick. It seems the greens-keeper knows what he is doing..
P.S, The lady in the cafe is very nice too, very Baltimorish.
I would and will play here again for sure.
Interesting Layout
Beware, the golf course is in a scary part of town. Layout was interesting; a number of blind shots and some holes very hilly. Course was in good condition for the middle of December. I'd play again but am concerned about safety.
Awesome coarse!!
Nice greens and good price. Good lunch special $4.99 for large beverage, chips and large hot dog. Can't beat it.
great greens
easy fun course great value and best greens of any of the city courses hands down!
Beautiful city views & super friendly staff
This is our 2nd time playing Clifton Park. We heard ridiculous horror stories from other golfers about the neighborhood and the course. Don't believe any of them! This course is very nice; more challenging than you think...short for some, but that just means you have to make great shots! The course conditions were perfect and the staff is just so friendly. We love this course!
Course has great greens.
The course is located in northeast Baltimore with a beautiful view over the city. The greens are in great condition. Tuesday was hot but the greens were still soft. The fairways are open and forgiving. A great course to improve your skills, but still be challenging. The staff are friendly.
