Franconia Golf Course

Twice now I’ve played here & got nothing but attitude from the staff about using golf now. Last time they literally tried to say they “couldn’t let me pay for that price”. I used points & a promo code. Staff was insistent I owed them more money for my Red Hot Deal tee time because “even my registration showed an amount due at course”. Guy got mad and stalked off when I pointed out that the amount listed as due at course was $0.00. They told me to only book through the course directly if I wanted to play there again because Golf Now “never pays them the money”. Directly accusing myself and Golf Now of theft and fraud. There are too many other options in the area to deal with getting publicly reamed in the clubhouse for not paying enough.

I grew up playing this course. It is a municipal course that gets a ton of play . That said , it is in amazing shape . They maintain this course better than some private courses I have played . Challenging from the tips fair from every tee box. If you ha e an opportunity I recommend this course .

Course is in great shape and the greens are fast and true. Fun and challenging layout, too. Only drawback was it took about four and a half hours to complete the round.

Booked a round for two to play 18 holes and found out at the pro shop that league play was starting in 1.5 hours. Course shouldn’t let tee times be booked when they can’t accommodate them. Cost a lot more to only play 9 and the travel time was not worth it.

Course was in perfect condition,this was our yearly scramble . Two players from Holyoke
one from Ct and the 4th drove up from Plymouth,Ma. We all had a great time,pace was perfect.

I don’t want to complain because the starter said that’s all people do. So when my tee time came up I asked him if I was supposed to go with the twosome on the tee. I did, at short notice. First hole doglegs left. Second to the right, third to the right, and the fourth to the left. I was ill prepared and out of sorts.
Greens were great. Lots of subtle and not so subtle breaks. Course was short from the whites. But still a lot of fun. Enjoyed the secluded holes on the back nine. Not so much the exposed holes on the rest of the course. Did not feel “at home.” Was worth playing….

I was paired up with three other guys, who all just met up on the first tee. We had no idea we were in for a for a great day. Paul, John & Matt (no not Ringo) and myself teed from the whites.
The first hole is a blind shot with a little draw. Next time I am going to aim left of the tree and land the green, risk reward first hole! who doesn't like that?

Greens were running a little slower than expected. I left a few short ones out there, and I was not alone...
I asked the starter for a pointer or two, he said...Keep your head down! Take heed to this! as holes are close together.

I would definitely recommend this track and will be back for sure!!!

Conditions were excellent course was a little hilly greens were very fast Fairways to boxes excellent
