Crystal Lake Golf Club

This is a must play course. Greens are Fast, hard to read and challenging. Fairways are lush and green. Plenty of bunkers to keep you thinking. Wildlife is all around plenty of deer and turkey. Enjoy a fresh beverage and some food when done with a view off the deck. This course is waiting for you.

This course is under new management and still an amazing course! If you are looking for a course that is affordable but also is in great shape, this is it! Greens are some of the best around. Highly recommended!!

Beautiful course with fair fairways. The greens were at times unfair. They were so undulating they were either extremely difficult to hit onto or pin placements were just very difficult

It's your average municipal course. It's fairly flat on the front nine, a little more up and down on the back. The greens are very undulated, some holes borderline gimmicky.
17th and 18th are my least favorite. They are both severe dog leg holes, where you are forced to lay up short then long shot into the greens. You get one glimpse of the water from the clubhouse. That's it for the view.
For $36 Golf Now special, it's just ok.

First of all, the (New) proprietor David, was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. We found a “Hot deal” for this course on 9-14-19, and were so happy with our experience, we played 27 holes the next day!

The course was in EXCELLENT condition from tee to green, and these greens amazingly were true, fast and challenging !

The front and back nine are like two different courses. The front is rather open and has room for error on many holes. Its a great warm up for the tighter, tree lined, elevation changing back nine where ball placement is key, and smart golf pays dividends.

I will definitely play this course again when I’m in the Crystal Lake Mi. area, and I would recommend that you do to!

I played here on a windy and cold day and still enjoyed my round, so that must say something about the course. The greens are pretty challenging and there's an appropriate amount of elevation change. There are some pretty great views of Crystal Lake as well. For your money, this is one of the best values in the area. I'd definitely play here again!

Did not affect play but be aware some playable areas have more crabgrassthan bentgrass. They need sand filler tubes on carts. Need trash containers

Greens are great, challenging, but fair. Great layout. Nice view of crystal lake on some holes, back nine more wooded.
You can get a 4 some for $99, so great deal.
Not a complaint, but some playable areas have more crabgrass than bentgrass.
Staff very friendly, we had a good dinner of burgers/barbecue pork.

Play here if you good challenge without resort snootiness.

This is my favorite course in the Benzie County area within the moderate price range. Course is well maintained with constant improvements and updates. Dollar days (mondays and thursdays) are a long-standing tradition with $15 for 9/cart or $25 for 18/cart. If you prefer to walk on dollar days, it's a dollar a hole. Dollar beers and hot dogs !! Staff is always friendly. Golf pro on duty. Deck overlooking the course with great views. Event tent offers catered events.
