Worth the drive to get to
A friend took me to this course, two hour drive, said it was worth it and he was RIGHT. All the holes provide a challenge(s). Only nine holes which is sad, but gave us an immediate chance to play each hole better the second time around. Course was a bit dry and bare in spots but still loved the layout.
As stated in earlier reviews, cart fees are a little weird and amenities are light but can't wait to play 18 here again.
Incredible course in Fertile
I must say that this course was another pleasant surprise. Pristine conditions and a very fun layout at this course. All they need is 9 more holes!
The pro shop staff was one of the nicest people I'd ever come across, kudos to her.
There are some very interesting holes with elevation changes or dog legs with guarded fairways. There are no cutting corners on some of these holes, the trees are huge and very intimidating. The signature hole is #4 where there is a massive elevated tee to a generous fairway but a guarded green with some looming trees nearby. Oh and don't forget the huge trees in the center of the fairway about 50-100 yds from the green. Unfortunately this is where the course tends to get backed up since everybody feels like they can drive this green from atop the hole.
There was an 82 person outing earlier in the day which beat the greens up a bit but besides that it was a perfectly maintained course.
Favorite holes were 1, 4, & 5.
Played this course last week (Aug 2024). Very well maintained, challenging, reasonable green fees but cart fees are a bit high.
