Great course for the money!!
A casino course. Great price for the excellent quality of the course. I play the twighlight rate after 4pm. Free range balls! Love the lay-out of the course. Electric carts with built in GPS. Fast, true greens, excellent fairways and bunkers. Love Love lLove this course!!
horrible staff
Paid $118.00 to have a nice golf getaway weekend... front nine was good, stopped at the clubhouse midway to get a long sleeve shirt cause it was getting chilly. Found a nice long sleeve shirt in the pro shop that I wanted to buy, but no dice ...humanity does not resonate at this place. because the lazy girl behind the counter ( who said she doesn't work when the Vikings are playing...with her husband and kids in the clubhouse) called the police on me because I wanted a long sleeve shirt to keep me warm..I will never return and I will inform everyone I know to avoid this course..I am an avid golfer and so are my friends. I will make sure everyone I know will not visit this golf course
Part Links, Part North Woods
Like many golf courses in Minnesota, Grand National Golf Club has two different personalities. Part of the course is wide open links-style, with a few evergreen trees here and there, undulating fairways with some mounding and tall grass if you get too far from the fairway. The other part, primarily holes 4 through 8, resemble a north woods golf course with forest-like stands of stately birch trees lining both sides of the fairway. The fairways are very smooth and provide lots of roll. Being a Joel Goldstrand design, there are several holes with forced carries over water to reach the green. The greens are reasonably fast, with subtle contours rather than severe undulations, and roll very true. This was my first time playing this course, and it was a real pleasure. The golf carts are equipped with GPS, which helps greatly in shot selection if you don't know the course well. Having played it once, I think my score will improve on subsequent rounds, so I will be back.
bring your own
The problem is the beverage service They have a cart sometimes not often and only 1 on a weekend. If you want a drink you almost have to make it yourself no covers for cups no large straws. Try the blood mary NO olives or pickles. Maybe everyone in that area drinks beer they do have 16 ounce cans and if you are lucky the cart girl will have what you want if you see her early in the round. My advice take your own with you you will get better service if you do.
What did you REALLY say? Because NOBODY calls the police when someone is trying buy a t-shirt. What really happened is that you're probably rude, possibly drunk and demanding and you scared her. Be honest or don't post a bad review because YOU caused it.
