Beautiful course
Love this course. Excellent staff. Only complaint would be the rock hard green conditions at times. But overall great course
Enjoyable Round
18 holes in 3 hours. Great weather with some interesting holes. Better value than the city courses!
Almost hit multiple times
Hilliest course I have ever played. Most of the tee shots you could not see the hole because of giant hils in the way. Almost hit by a golf ball multiple times because you can't see if there are any golfers past the hill.
Fairways
Fairways just needs to firm up a little more. It's still early in the season
Always great course to play.
Love the course and will play more using Golf Now for scheduling T-times. Greens always play fast!
Good course and honest staff
Made Tee time on line for senior price of $25 with cart . But I saw add on TV for $20 on Mondays in September. Without me even asking the staff charged me the lower price. I really appreciated that. The course is interesting and hard. The greens play smaller than they look because they have false edges and they are fast so a ball near the edge can roll off the green. Not a walkers course unless you want a good workout because there is a lot of distance between holes. I will play again.
Open Space, lots of hidden fairways.
The course was not very enjoyable.
Could not hit any iron shots due to rock solid ground. Would think we were in a drought here...need a lot of watering.
Also, almost all holes further than 300 yds had a hill in between boxes and fairways so after your drive you will never see the ball land.
Unfortunately a lot of other courses in Rochester that I will not make it back to Oak Summit :(
Greens were in great shape
With little rain lately, course was dry but not overly dry. Greens were great and course well maintained.
Veyr Muggy Sunday Mid Day Round
I thought seeing the first hole this was going to be a challenging course with tons of peaks and valleys, and all terrain shots. But was so disappointed when I got to hole 2 to hole 8, and holes 11 to 17. Flat and boring holes with not many obsticles except a lot of spread out trees that do not really come into play. Course was in average at best shape. The course web site and playing it 2 totally different senaireos . My high light was meeting up with an older man in his 70's named Dayton. Man this guy could still hit the ball straight and far. And a fast player. We passed through 2 two sums/ believe that?? Greens were in great shape here. putted very well. But only hole 1, 9, 10 & 18 were the only holes with any challenge at all. Fired an even 40-41=81 Here From back tees, not a long course at all. Semi Average at best. Was a decent one time play course as I call them.

Ok
I was their 3 weeks ago with a friend and we didn't get to play all of the holes and we talked to the staff and they said they will talk to golf now and what not still nothing no rain check or nothing not even a call back like the staff said they would. Very unhappy. So this mite be one of the last times I will go. I like the course but very unprofessional.
OK Course. Great Rates!!
Some Quirky holes but overall nice course. Some blind tee shots so first time out was a little misleading.
Great value, strange layout.
Have played this course a few times. It is relatively easy to get on, particularly during the week. Generally plays fast and the course is well maintained.
They have a lot of intersecting holes so it would be nice to have multiple markers to the next hole for the visiting golfer. Perhaps paint on the blacktop.
At par 70, it is fairly open and forgiving course.
My only complaint is the course layout. 6,8 and 9 on the front are 3's and 11 and 12 on the back are 3's while there is only one par 5 on the back 9.
Not crazy about laying up on 18. With a tough approach to (only from the left side of the fairway), and then on the small, raised green, they could move the tee box of 18 towards the 11 tee box; Perhaps making that a dog left then dog right, short par 5. That would give the player a longer tee shot on 18 and a would provide a second par 5 on the back.
Another possible change would be to make hole 9 longer moving the tee box back and making that a par 4.
For all the disappointment about the layout, it is still a nice course for a very reasonable price. Their membership price is as low as anyone will find. If you want to play a lot of golf for a great price, this is the course.
Slow go for not much show
I drove 1 1/2 hrs to play this course. I played 13 holes in 4 hours because there was a group of six ahead of me on this Saturday. I do not think I will go again.
Kind of Funky with an emphasis on Fun!
Holes 1, 9, and 10 require a very accurate tee shot as there is a lot of elevation change no room to bail out. The rest of the course is pretty self explanatory. The front 9 has 3 par 3's, 4 par 4's and 2 par 5's for a Par 35. The course was well maintained and played very 18 in about 3 1/2 hours on a Friday afternoon and is a great value for the price.
Layout of course is not inviting
There were way to many blind shots into elevated greens for my taste, especially for someone who is new to the course. Not mad about a bad round, just disappointed by the layout of the course.
Well Manicured
Rolled greens were challenging but fun. The course was in great shape!
Great Course for any golfer at any level of play
Great course! Greens were very fast. Wide open fairways that are very forgiving to the golfer.
Enjoyable day
We enjoyed the round. The course is in great shape. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Solid Value Course
I enjoyed my round at Oak Summit, par 70 course with mature trees and is fairly open so you don't loose too many balls if your wild off the tee. Overall worth the value and is in decent shape, moderately challenging too.
