Terrific Course
They've really opened up the course and lengthened a few of the holes in the past few years. There is A LOT of elevation change, blind shots, challenging approaches, well-kept bunkers. This course will keep you guessing, but not so challenging that you can't enjoy it.
Greens are fast, even when wet, a testament to the club's quality control. What this course lacks in total yardage, it makes up for in the details. A very controlled flow, with a subtle blend of classic countryside charm and links-style challenges give this course a unique identity. It's amazing that this beautiful course is tucked away in such a densely populated area.
I know a member and play 5-10 times per year with him. "Value for the money" intentionally left blank as he pays a member guest rate and I buy him beers afterwords. Course is private, so you need to know a member to play. A good mix of older and younger members - very friendly patrons and staff. If you golf a lot in the twin cities, chances are you will run into someone who knows someone. Members love showing off their home links!
Be sure to enjoy that view coming down #9!
Terrific Course
This course just keeps getting better. Number one tip: practive your putting before your round. The greens were immaculate and very fast. Fairways were perfectly groomed. Bunlers consistent.
