Nice Muni
This is a pretty nice municipal golf course that really lays out like a links golf course, but has a number of forested areas around the perimeter. The fairways aren’t in the most perfect shape, but they are the premium place to hit because the rough is about 3 inches deep. The staff was excellent, actually let me play a few extra holes with no cost. The practice facilities look nice. I didn’t use them though.
Nice Course Layout
I love the course layout, but the fairways need to be mowed. It was like hitting out of the first cut. The greens were in good shape and rolled nice. With a little landscaping tlc it could be an above average course.
Senior Domination
We were told by the gentleman in the club house that there were senior groups in front of and we had no problems playing a leisure pace on the front nine. But when we made the turn and found 14 seniors standing on the 10th tee we were shocked. We asked if they had played the front and were told yes and that we could skip the next couple of holes or replay the front. We chose the latter but was put off by the way the course allowed this to happen. We drove 2 hours and had a nights lodging so this won't be happening again
Great Golf Course!
What a fun place to play! Massive greens, great shape, friendly staff, new carts!
Very scorable but challenging
Loved my round at Green Hills. Even after 10" of rain in the past month, the course was in excellent condition. There are a few blind tee shots, so you'll want to check aiming points off the tee the first time you play it. Greens are large, but not too difficult to maneuver. Great cart paths. Staff gets an A+ for friendliness.
Great links course
We were pleasantly surprised at the shape the course was in for this time of year. Great course. We plan on coming back.
