About
Cherry Creek Golf Club winds through stands of mature oak, ash, and cherry trees. The rolling landscape is the perfect setting for a round, which has helped build the club's reputation as one of metro Detroit's premier public golf courses. Although it is a public course, the club offers the quality and amenities of a private club. The course is challenging but playable with four sets of tees that can accommodate all skill levels. The versatile layout is a popular option for tournaments and outings. In addition to the golf course, Cherry Creek's driving range and training area was ranked as the best practice facility in southeast Michigan. The facilities include a 50-station driving range with seven target greens of varying yardages, two putting greens, and three practice greens with bunkers.

Great Course
Great course, have played here many times. Have always had a good time, is a challenging, beautiful course. Pace of play is usually pretty good except for when high school teams are out there (which I don’t think is super common). There are a few patches of ground that are under repair but that’s to be expected at this point in the season. Overall great
Awful
I have never golfed at Cherry Creek and would usually not pay over $40 to play; but I decided to pay $50 each for a round of golf with my son. Our tee time was 11:19. When we got to the tee box there were five groups of four in front of us. A foursome on the tee waiting for a foursome in front of them. At 11:35 am they were on the 11:03 tee time. Our tee time was 11:19 with six groups ahead of us! I turned my cart around immediately, went to the pro shop and asked for a full refund! Awful experience and I will not be back again!
Waited 40 mins on one hole - members can cut in front of you
Nice course, but I will never go back. We had to wait for 40 minutes on one of the holes because a group of 25 "members" got to cut in front of us because apparently members can play whenever they want and do not have to reserve a tee time. Terrible.

Know Where You’re Going
If you’re looking to play Cherry Creek have someone in your group who is familiar with the layout of the course. There are no maps on the scorecard nor any signage at each hole to give you a clue as to the layout of the hole ie: dogleg left, right, etc
Slow play
6:24 p.m. tee time. Took 3 hours for a threes one to play nine due to extremely slow play of league in front of us. Will not book again weekday evenings.
Cherry Creek, August 2nd noon tee time
The course, club house and staff are outstanding.
There was an outing scheduled before our tee time which brought pace of play to a snail's pace (3-4 groups on all par 5's) and 3 groups on par 4's and par 3's.
This is Michigan summer golf and what can happen.
My playing partner and I were only able to play 9 holes due to slow play. I had an investor's meeting scheduled late afternoon and unfortunately could not chance being stranded on the back nine.
The course refunded a pro-rated 9 holes based on our price paid.
Beautiful Course
Beautiful course, could have been a little better priced and the play was very slow.
Enjoyed the day
Front nine moved well, little bit of a backup on the back nine. Enjoyed the final three holes going par 5, par 3, par 5; didn’t think I would looking ahead. Great view heading in on 18. Will play here again.
