First Time Playing

If you are looking for a welcoming, well maintained course this is neither.

If you are looking for a welcoming, well maintained course this is neither. I hoped to have a nice day on the course, but instead dodged patchy grass and felt unnecessarily rushed the entire time. My group started earlier than our scheduled tee time and was asked to pick up the pace on the first hole only 7 minutes after teeing off, even though the group ahead of us had not even teed off the second hole yet and the next group's tee time wasn't for another 3 minutes. There were two other groups of guys in front of us who were going slow as well, but somehow the only group that was spoken to was the group of girls (who couldn't go faster even if we wanted to, due to the back log ahead of us.) There is a reason golf is sometimes seen as an unapproachable sport, and this place is part of the problem (the course isn't even nice enough to warrant their attitude). The only thing this place has going for it is the cheap rate for 9 holes.

Proud to call this my home course!

Duston Country Club is a great golf course. There are challenging long holes as well as short. The terrain is hilly which makes the lies fun! The greens are in terrific shape - and hole placements can be very tough. Don't pass up the challenge! Oh, and there's always great food and drink on the patio - great way to celebrate a good round. The White family should be very proud of their club - I know I am!
