The Shore Club

Now called The Shore Club under new ownership this is a classic old-style design where wind is a factor just about any time you play it. It is a private club with affiliations with other clubs for its members. It is a fun course to play and there are no tricks about it. Everything is pretty much right in front of you so you can see what you need to do for each shot. The greens are small tilted and generally run pretty fast.

Played with 3 friends who are private club members. All liked the course. It was a good value for the money but don't expect country club amenities. Good driving range and unusual putting practice green.

The course has an old fashioned layout. If they did not have the land the hole became a 300 yard dogleg. There are a few holes with water but most of the challenges come from trees and bunkers. I have played better courses for half the money.

Very nice layout, well manicured and the people were super nice. Always rate courses with could I play this every day, this one I could. Nice collection of challenging holes. Look forward to playing again.

I feel extremely lucky to have secured a tee time at Wildwood Golf and Country club, easily South Jersey's finest course. Conditions, pace of play and friendliness were all outstanding.

Love this course, it took a few holes to figure out the greens, but really liked the strategy playing this course. Plays hard and fast, unlike most other over-watered golf courses. Cource conditions are perfect. Great Tee Boxes, better than most greens.

I am visiting the area and decided to jump on GolfNow to see if there were any courses and to my surprise, I saw the typically private course on HotDeals. Decided to give it a shot and was not disappointed. The staff was incredibly accommodating and made me feel like I was a member of the club. Going so far as to give me tips on where to play shots in the course guide booklet and were even calling me Mr. Last Name.

For a private club to open their doors and have everyone (members included) be exceptionally nice, I was impressed. Definitely recommend. There are a few holes where you can tell they have some flooding issues, but nothing that you can't see past or soils your outing.

Nice driving range. Greens in great condition. Be sure to bring plenty of bug repellent.

The staff at the course was very friendly. They were very welcoming. The course was in good shape. The greens were fast but rolled true. The course didn't play too difficult. As they mentioned, tee shots were crucial to second shots. The snacks and beverages were affordable. Which they could utilize the view(the back bay) they have on the last few holes throughout the course.

Lovely course, beautiful weather, friendly staff, and they give you a course book describing each of the holes and what to expect. I understand it is a private course, open to public this year for 100th anniversary. Take advantage if you can.

I'm local so I've played this course a good amount for being a non-member. The greens here are excellent. Pretty fast and roll well yet the ball will check or release if the right shot played. My only hang-up is the layout. The front and back seem
to mimic each other. I always feel like I'm playing the same 9 holes twice. Still pretty challenging though.

Really nice course... Solid layout with lots of doglegs. Greens alone made it worth it... They rolled quick and true.

I played in the South Jersey Golf Association Tournament otherwise the course is private. Course is very good condition. Greens were fast but realistic for their contours. Some water and moderate forced carries. Fairways were tree lined
which made the fairways tighter. You can play out from the trees easily but you lose a stroke. The doglegs were most interesting.
