Fun yet challenging...
Course is playable for all skill levels.. Fairly open parkland setting. The challenge comes into play with approach shots and maneuvering around the greens. Firm and fast conditions put a premium on staying below the hole.
big greens
I played this private club in a GAP match. It is yet another old Donald Ross course that has stood tall in the test of time. The fairways were generous but the course toughened with second shots and the tilt and slope of the greens. These were some of the largest Ross greens I have seen and my putter struggled with them this first time seeing them. Don't know if I'll get a second chance but I'd jump on it in a minute.

... and beg them to let you play. This course is private and terrific. Conditions are excellent. This Donald Ross Course is old school with tees near greens so you could easily walk it. Every hole is interesting and fun to play. No. 5, a short par 4 with an elevated green fronted by 6 or 7 bunkers. No. 9, par 5 with a cross bunker 50 yds short of the green. Do you take it on or lay up? The finishing holes are tremendous 15 through 18, especially the No. 15, par 3, that plays up hill to a 2 tier green, don't be long. And then there are the greens, and trying to figure them out.
