Very rude staff
Explained to staff that I might have to take off after nine holes And they assured me that I would get the money back if I had to leave so I paid for 18 ensure enough my sitter bailed on me for the back nine so I went back to get my refund and was told that I cannot have my refund no matter what and they did not know why the other staff told me that I could and they would not honor it. That’s just very unprofessional in their whole attitude was just very snobby and did not care one bit. The course itself was OK but the grass was very long so if you don’t know where the ball landed exactly then hopefully you brought some extras LOL! Staff were very non accommodating that was my gripe
Fun Local Course
I have played this course quite a few times now, and it gets better every time. it has become one of the nicest ocean county courses and it very well maintained! Course conditions are always up to par and the greens are very large and great for practicing your short game. It is a great place for beginners who want to play a par 72 course and not lose ball after ball due to its very open fairways and lightly wooded areas, but also has some challenging holes for the more intermediate/advanced golfer.
Home Course
Bey Lea is my local course and a good course to practice and get confidence. The layout is very easy with well maintained and ridiculously large greens. You could be on the green but still have a 100 ft putt. The front 9 is cow-pasture golf and the back 9 shifts towards some elevation changes but still very open. It's impossible to lose balls unless you hit them in the few water hazards. Usually, I'll play 18 at a nicer course on the weekends.
Relaxed Golf
The four of us played in 4 hours and 5 minutes without any delays on the course We T'd off at 8:42 AM and complete at 12:45. I am normally a 19 handicap and shot an 83 with 7 pars and one birdie on # 11 ( I chipped it in from 20 yards off green. I would have shot in the 70's but shot a 6 on #8 par three because I put first shot in water and third in sand trap. Greens in excellent condition T's could use a little work especially #18 to make it level.
