Golf Carts
The golf cart gps system works well. The bugs have been corrected. Need to stay away from areas that say no carts such as the greens and wet areas.
Stay away
At one time this was a good course to play for a senior citizen. However they have purchased new carts that have GPS feature in the cart to keep you from going in areas they do not want you to drive the cart, Unfortunately the carts are constantly cutting off while on the cart path and you have to put the cart in reverse and back up to get the cart running again. This has been reported to management multiple times and evidently they have no idea how to remedy this issue. To compound the issue with the carts there is practically no grass on the course due to the cutting it so low for the winter. Bunkers are mostly junk also. It is a shame that a course with great greens is being such a pain in other areas. Will be quite a while before I go back.
Mediocrity
Decent course with good layout and conditions. No pictures of holes on scorecard and no hole signs on tee boxes make it difficult to navigate. Quoted one price on phone when booked tee time and charged six more dollars a player when arrived by a rude, unpleasant person who left a bad impression and ruined our moods before we started. This course is at best a 35 dollar course more like 30 and being charged 42 after driving one hour to play made a bad impression. A short course but fun but not worth the money.
Great local course
I have played this course a few times and I have always been impressed with the customer service and course conditions.
Greens are in good shape - fairways not so much
I will probably give this course another shot at some point. I thought that a $28 senior rate on a weekday was steep considering the overall quality of the course (when there are better quality courses at a lower rate available in the area). The fairways and tee boxes were fairly rough (not very good grass - lots of clover). The greens, however, were in good shape. The course should be better marked, so you could be sure you were going to the correct tee box (for the first timer).
Great course for an amateur
I have played this course many times. It is a good layout and is not totally penalizing to a stray shoot on many wholes. One is a dogleg right to a tiered green and all greens roll true but are very fast. On four flying over the green will most likely cost you a stroke as it is near a fence that is on. The toughest hole on the course is number 8 as you have to hit a layup off the tee that must be precise. Right can put in the pond and left will put you on a hill with trees blocking your shot to the green. The only strange thing at the course is that 16 and 17 are back to back par 3's. 18 is another layup hole off the tee from either the white tees or the senior tees. This is definitely one of my favorite courses to play since I am a high handicapper.
