About
River Ridge Golf Club is one of the finest public golf courses in Raleigh. The course sprawls across 100 acres in the heart of the Triangle, it's an easy 15-minute drive from downtown Raleigh. The lush green of the course contrasts beautifully with the Carolina blue skies. Mature trees frame most of the holes and there are a few lakes that come into play. The rolling terrain provides plenty of ups and downs throughout the golf course. Accuracy will be generously rewarded but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper. The course's signature hole is the par-4 fifth, a 375-yard hole that can be conquered with smart play. Try to keep your long iron or fairway wood to the right of the fairway, which will give you a short iron approach into the green.

Outstanding
75 degrees and sunny in early February, how could it be anything but a perfect outing.
Played from the Blacks.
January spring day!
So surreal to be putting on brown grass in the middle of winter and have the ball roll so purely. Great job to the groundskeeping staff to keep this course in playing shape. Certainly did not hurt that it was close to 70°.
High floor, high ceiling
RR is by far one of the best public courses in the Raleigh area. Course conditions were terrific only a week after snow being on the ground.
Staff is friendly. Considering joining here.
Great Course
Exceptionally great course especially for the price. Staff was also very friendly.
Book the tee time
Was referred by a friend who played once and loved it. The facilities are nice, staff was friendly and the starter was great. The greens were slow but was understandable since they had been tarped with all the frost lately which limits time to cut them. I had been told by regulars they are typically much faster but they were still in good shape.
The layout stole the show for me it offers everything you could want and then some. It plays longer than the distance on the card so pick your tees wisely. We did white/blue combo and it was plenty with the elevation changes and need to be accurate off the tee you don’t need to scoot back I promise. Good luck on 3 what a hole. Go book your tee time
Winter Golf Delight
Shoutout to the grounds crew for keeping this course in the best possible shape they can during the winter. It makes golf a pleasure and the price isn’t too bad either.
