They should pay you to play here...
This was a very nice course at one time. I understand the club is for sale but not sure if that has anything to do with the terrible condition the course is in now. I played here in the early spring and the course was in good shape coming out of winter. Somewhere this summer they lost the greens, possibly one of eighteen is playable. The fairways are OK, very dry, the rough is ridiculously long, bring a lot of balls if you can't put it down the middle every shot. It would seem they don;t have enough staff to cut the grass, maybe cut once every few weeks. Not one bunker is playable, they are all overgrown and have turn to waste land. Very sad to see a course go this way.
Way to go earl!
Great course! I can't thank Earl enough for the job he has done turning the course from a disaster (previous owner), to a place I love to play again. He is a super nice guy, with the knowledge to run a successful golf course. If you have not had the chance to play here lately, you should.
great course with Bent Grass Greens
Had an awesome time....
I would recommend Roxboro Country Club to anyone, for a great game of golf or getaway group game. Also, great grill for refreshment.
