Slow pace
There were several groups walking this course ahead of us so we had to wait. It was a bit frustrating not knowing this up front. Maybe that’s why there were so many last minute openings. Other than. That, course was ok.
Knolls golf course review.
Great course. Deceptively challenging. Play there frequently.
Terrible pace
This course is pretty good, with a fun layout, true greens, and some really pretty spots. The pace is absolutely atrocious, though. I slogged through a 5.5 hour round yesterday, waiting at literally every tee box on the course. Omaha's park district courses send people off way too frequently, and it makes me want to spend the extra $30 to play a round at a place that cares about their customers' experience.
Disappointing
Needs signage showing direction to next tee box. Confusing layout. Grass in good condition but too long. No refreshment cart.
Good course with bad timing
Never played this course and took my 11yr old son. They closed the front 9 the day we were supposed to play. If I would have canceled I would have lost all my money they GolfNow took as prepay. Also no option to pay as a junior golfer and since its prepay and not a deposit I couldn't get a junior discount refund. Able to play the back 9 twice and it was a good, fun course for a junior. Another disappointment was they opened the front 9 for league play as we finished the round.
Great Golf - Location, Value, Fun
I golf The Knolls frequently. I have noticed many improvements in 2023. The Knolls is one of the best courses available to all golfers and skill levels.
Advance tee time allow for smooth check in. The golf carts are pretty new - they do not have GPS but the course has yardage markers and cart paths are marked well. The fairways are mowed and the grass is tight- the greens are beautiful (when players have etiquette and fix their marks) and cups are moved frequently. After a round of golf we head to the club house where the lounge has new tables and comforrtable chairs to enjoy a nice cold beer (or two) and some of the best popcorn in Omaha.
Excellent City of Omaha course
Some mildly convenient but necessary construction taking place. In really nice shape, great staff.
